There are times I hate the First Amendment

Hopefully the media won't cover their protest. They protested Elizabeth Edwards funeral and the media didn't show it. That is what they have to do this time to. These guys are bizarre attention hounds. Their insane rationalizations are getting even more stretched. I wish the Phelps family would just go away.

to me what they do is hate speech pure and simple. I'm not sure of the murky waters of the grey void which is the 1st amendment. I believe it's outlawed correct?

I agree. I mean I hate all these hate groups. I should form my own hate group AHAH, American Haters Against Haters. Anyway they have a right to do it, it is protected for that I am glad but what they are doing isn't "right"

I disagree with the idea about god or religion. The woman who I think is like 2nd in command there would call the local radio station here in Tampa sometimes and sure she's a raging **** but she does know her scripture. On another note I was listening to the radio today and they said they are (I dont know who they is, i was half listening) going to pass a law that bans protesting funerals as quickly as possible to try and get it in before this little girls funeral.

While I do not agree with Fred's message, I do agree that he is exercising his right in a proper manner.

You can't "kinda" have Freedom of Speech. Because then that means you don't have it. It's indivisible, you either have it or you don't.

It's already regulated... slander/libel, threats, conspiracy. There is so much that you are already legally not allowed to say, so I don't buy that for a second.
