This is why you don’t make Thomas Brown the interim HC

Offense and Williams were overall trending in the right direction after jettisoning Shane Waldron.

Then the Bears made Thomas Brown the interim head coach—just a few weeks removed from being the friggin’ passing game coordinator.

When your offense and your rookie QB are on a knife’s edge, you don’t screw around with anything.

Bears gonna Bear.

Of all years to do it... you do it the year you get a No. 1 overall QB and already fired an OC so you're down two coaches... great job by the Bears.

If he was the OC and they won some games so what?

Did you want him as the HC next year?
To me, it's not about that exactly... what I want is an OC that can put Caleb in a position to succeed. Brown isn't ready to be an HC, especially one calling the offense. The rest of this season has basically become an exercise in survival.

But on the flip side if he stayed the OC George would probably of made him HC next year and we would be in the same boat anyway. At least we know he has no shot now.

This is exactly what most of you CCS clowns wanted.

Firing a coach in the middle of the season almost never works and usually ends in more disaster...

I said this from the start but the mob wanted Flus gone. Now the D looks like ass without him and we getting blown out.

Wasnt fair to Caleb or Brown. There would have been no downside to letting Brown focus on Caleb and let Flus take the heat the rest of the season.

Nah, better to get a free look at him as the HC now to save yourself a much bigger mistake in the future. The only reason for not doing it is if you were already out on him as a possible head coaching candidate.

This isnt a free look. This is a stacked deck against him as the D has regressed considerably and he is short staffed.

He also guaranteeing that the bears will get a higher draft pick

The Bears were already a disaster. Not sure what your point is here. This might jettison Poles & get a higher draft pick.

I don’t think anyone here expected anything more than what your comment is suggesting. We knew it was going to be a disaster but Flus needed to be fired. Better chance Poles gets shown the door as well.

Exactly, the clowns held onto Flus after last year. At least he is gone. And gives them a head start on the coaching search(although they'll probably mess it up). Now the Bears just need to get through the rest of the year without any injuries
