Why is this so attractive for people to watch others at their worst, and feel outrage? I would imagine that chips away at one's soul over time, to watch every indiscretion people make, every asshole moment, every karen response.
One side of our political spectrum elected Donald Trump primarily to "Own the Libz"
We've spent nearly 4 years enduring the "owning" or the "winning" depending on your affiliation.
Just like Trump voters got immense satisfaction watching upset Democrats after the 2016 election.... there are "Libz" (woke Twitter) that enjoy this stuff because it feels like the tables are turned.
Like... "LOL Look who's mad now?!?!?"
I get your perspective, but you don't live here.... I don't think you entirely grasp just how terribly the US society has been broken and divided.
People walk on fucking eggshells because who knows if you're about to deal with a tantrum or racial injustice or Police brutality or coronavirus or joblessness or homelessness or loss of healthcare or something else terrible.
One side or the other takes pleasure in the pain of the other anytime they can.
I think this is all symptoms of a broken society.... people feel how broken things are and it is making many mentally and emotionally volatile..... I admit it, I feel anxiousness like I never have in my life.
We're in a perfect storm of conflicts and crisis right now.
