more vortex, you said that they "hated McDaniels" and posted articles of the players not liking him as a HC.

I countered your point that they "hated McDaniels" with an article that they loved him as an OC.

So if you want to take back your point about them hating him as a HC then go ahead, because I don't want him as a HC so people hating him as a HC is irrelevant.
Nope again I posted 2 articles about BB and one about McDaniels and said, "Think players were not feeling Bellichek towards the end of his tenure and they hated McDaniels."

So again you have yet to provide a response to the BB point so do you have one? Only 21% of players said they would want to play for BB.

As for McDaniels. My post was about my opinion on McDaniels not yours so it is relevant to my opinion that the players hated McDaniels because the things they hated him for are things that affect him whether he is a HC or an OC.

Can we please get the McDaniels talk out of the Thomas Brown thread? And actually, I would be good with no McDaniels talk anywhere on the forum....

McDaniels seems like a successful Matt Nagy. Dude has a rigid system and a big ego that can’t handle changing the system to fit the players.

great you have identified why I posted an article on players loving JM as an OC

and "not feeling it" is a far cry from hating BB so no issue there.. and nobody was complaining when they made the playoffs with Jones and I'm pretty sure CW is a much better QB then Jones was so no worries

Ok back to Brown. Now that he is the interim HC then I think here is how he can best make his case for HC next year.

1. He continues to develop Caleb and the offense continues to look competent particularly as they face the Pack, Vikes and Lions a 2nd time. If he can adjust to the adjustments teams will make as they have more film on him then that will be key.

2. How does Wash respond? If Wash looks good calling plays and is comfortable being Brown's DC then that goes a long way? Why? Because one of the biggest question marks Brown will have is who can he assemble as coaches. That question gets answered easily if Wash has the D playing well and Brown can just rely on him to be DC next year because the team looks good on both sides of the ball.

3. How is his game management? All coaches **** this up but can her minimize the **** ups so they arent as egregious. Does he like his mentor McVay push for a Game Management coordinator?

4. How do the D players respond to him? Do they respect and rally around him like the O players seem to have done.

5. What is his plan for the O next year. He is running Waldron's offense. What plan does he lay out regarding what changes he wants to make in the offseason and what sort of players would he be looking to add or move on from.

6. How does his relationship with Poles, Warren, McCasky develop. Does he win them over and prove to them he just has that aura or presence to lead a team.

7. How do the fans and media respond to him. Does the honeymoon continue because the Bears look motivated, competent and win some games or does he turn into a pumpkin.

Great start a thread about BB and McDaniels as HC but my position is still BB is washed and McDaniels is hated. Glad you like them though. Do you.

Finally listened to the Thomas Brown press conference. He definitely a good, strong impression. I like that he is just straight forward and calls it as he sees it.

I really hope it works out for him and the Bears.

Remy was right.

After hearing TB speak I feel better. I think we fans have a coach we can cheer for.

I liked Thomas Brown's press-conference. He speaks plainly, clearly, firmly. I think the players will respond well to him. I am concerned about his rapid ascension to head-coach and his ability to manage the game-day load.

Lol at losing like 20 pounds since being named OC. This dude really knows how to command a room. Hope he can deliver on gameday.

Poles not sleeping is a problem, but poles not sleeping because he’s getting long stroked by Warren is the bigger problem

If Brown gets the job and brings in the DC he wants, Robert Saleh and Zac Taylor as OC should Cincy fire him, I would be all in on that.
