I'd like to see him back just because he was always a favorite of mine
Why don't they just go after Fonzie? He'll be cheap and still can play the field. I just don't more teams not needing Fonzie. I still say the Indians are the team to trade for Soriano.
Because
1) No he can't play in the field. He's not very good in the field
2) Thome is the better pure DH addition and is probably cheaper

He's not as bad in the filed.. He can play in the field if needed, while Thome can't. Soriano is the better DH. He has 15 home runs since Mayb 15th and 8 in June.

The contract in crazy, but the Cubs will py most of it. The Cubs could pay all but 2 million of the contract. If the Cubs do that, he'll be able to be traded.
Jon Heyman said the Rays look like a good fit for him, their DH output has been bad. Matsui who's been dh'ing, is batting .170 or something. Luke Scott will then play the field.
That might be a smart move. But you mentioned Cleveland before and that would never happen. Cleveland doesn't need a DH.
Good for Thome. Now he gets to play everyday and just mash.
I'm looking forward to Thome crushing the ball on an everyday basis again.
