Thoughts on adults wearing jerseys?

Middle of the off-season, so here's one more worthless thing to fight about.

Under what circumstances is it fine for a fully grown adult male to wear a jersey?

I don't have any issue with it personally. I don't happen to own one, but don't discourage others from doing so.

I've never really understood the whole argument of "you've got another guy's name on your back.". To me, it's just another brand. Wearing a jersey that says Hicks or something isn't any different than wearing a Nike "Jumpman", or a shirt that says Calvin Klein.

Do your thoughts change if it's a T-shirt jersey? I also don't care if you would want to wear one of these.

I used to wear them on game day at home but then I found that if I wore the wrong player's jersey the Bears would lose. Can't burden the pressure anymore so, henceforth I will no longer be wearing jersey's. No jersey's this year = Playoffs

My daughter bought me a Walter Payton jersey for Christmas and I wear it all the time. Might have something to do with the fact my daughter named my granddaughter Payton.
