harles Tillman did not practice Wednesday as a precautionary move to rest his knee, but is expected to return to practice Thursday.
"Just precautionary. He should be ready to go in practice tomorrow," Bears head coach Marc Trestman said.
Meanwhile, Martellus Bennett (shoulder) and Kyle Long (back) took part in limited drills during practice as the Bears began to prepare for their Week 3 game at Pittsburgh. Defensive end Julius Peppers participated fully in practice after battling illness during the Bears’ 31-30 win Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
Peppers, who has not registered a sack in the first two games, did not want to dwell on his illness or his performance leading into the Bears’ first road game of the season.
“I’m feeling fine,” Peppers said. “I’m not interested in talking about the first two weeks right now. My focus is on Pittsburgh and winning the game this week.”
