FWIW Mayo has been terrible these playoffs. He's not the answer.

The pre-season expectations of most people were a good second round showing. The Bulls will meet and most likely exceed those expectations.

Even if the Bulls don't win it all this year there's no need to panic, the team has draft picks available to make a trade, and Korver/Brewer/Watson will be expiring contracts and Bogans/Pargo/Lucas are non-guaranteed. They have a lot of assets to tweak the team.

Not to mention Rose is young and not at his peak yet. Once he learns how to balance his scoring responsibilities with keeping the rest of the team involved and how to pick his spots for taking the three the team will be a lot better.

Getting 62 wins and an MVP has masked the fact that both the Bulls and Rose are very much still on the rise. This should not be thought as as good as they'll get, if they fall short it's not like they'll never make it.

Grizzles are winning with their big men, Mayo would have worked here. Rose could actually be a PG instead of a SG that occasionally passes the ball

That might work if Mayo was actually a good NBA player, rather than a guy who is living on his reputation from when he was drafted.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
There was an article saying that Mayo pretty much won a game for the Griz by shutting down Westbrook. Take that for whatever it's worth, but regardless Mayo would be an upgrade over Bogans. I'd take him and Korver over the "three headed SG monster" that we have now. But that's just me.

The question isn't whether you'd rather Bogans or Mayo, it's whether you'd rather Bogans AND Asik or Mayo. To me that question is an easy one to answer.

This summer will be a buyer's market...or whenever the lockout ends...

Lakers, Spurs, Celtics...amongst other teams will be selling for parts. Will be interesting to see how things go. I am interested in seeing how the Bulls handle things this offseason...

Unless Howard wants to come to Chicago and forces a trade Melo style...the chances are remote, I believe.

Given he supposedly wants a warm weather location, probably not good. Chicago can make a decent (although not the best) offer, but he'd have to want to come to the Bulls.
