^^^The last part right on. Look he as a stiff neck because of taking contact. I think when he got hit in the head the game before in OT.

nah the bulls email said he slept wrong
OK, but it could have some affects from it. I just hope he plays today! It's more fun to watch the game when he plays, but it's still fun to watch if he doesn't.
that's^ the homer stance. The truth is that he doesn't take or sell contact the way that he should. He is a finese player that avoids the contact altogether when he tries to finish his shot.
You think Rose is a "finesse player"? Not at all, his game is built on speed and power. Watching him night in and night out manhandle some of the point guards in this league, finesse is the last thing that comes to mind...he doesn't sell contact, saying he doesn't take it after watching him get knocked on his ass as much as he has over the past season...he definitely takes contact...and he is fearless...ask Dwight Howard.
Im not sold on Watson yet. Sure he had a great game last night but how long could he keep that up for. Plus he takes a ridiculous amount of shots.

The difference between Rose and a guy like Watson is that Rose has the ability to elevate and adjust his shot in midair. All of the different ways that he can put the ball in the basket is more about his ability to stay balanced while making those acrobatic moves while contorting his body and using the defender for balance. Those are definitely attributes characterized by the word "finesse."
His speed and quickness is what helps him get by his defender. His power helps him split defenders. His power also helps him keep a center of gravity while in the air. Rose knows how to keep his shoulders square better than most guys I have seen. But I wouldn't say that his power is his big defining characteristic as a basketball player. He is definitely too strong for most other point guards, but it is his slight of hand that makes him the player that he is... the strong upper body is only an extra scoop of gravy on that meat and potatoes.
In the Bulls' last two games against Orlando, Rose was injured going right at Dwight Howard. They were both rather hard fouls, but Rose has shown that he doesn't know how to fall the right way. It may sound silly, but there is a right and wrong way to land if you are an attacking player who is falling down. Ask Shaun Livingston about that...
Dwight is a beast. And Rose is fearless. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't have a finesse approach to finishing around the basket and getting open looks in general.
His bag of tricks is what enables him to utilize his speed and power. The guy just needs to sell contact better at times. It has little to-do with getting superstar calls. Guys like Corey Maggette and even C.J. Watson know how to get to the line using a series of fakes and spin moves. That is one thing Rose could certainly add to his arsenal. I would agree that sometimes Rose gets short-ended on calls because of his strength (sometimes he just doesn't move when he gets hit and the officials don't call it). But he should sell those hits a lot better than he does.
What do you mean by "slight of hand"?
