And Cutler has had one 300-yard game all year, yet he leads the NFL in sacks and fumbles, has had 6 games in which he was sacked 4+ times, had a mere 42 yards passing in his 9 sack game (well short of 300 yards). Pretty strong argument you have there.

Are you ever happy with anything?

I don't know which fans are making excuses for the Bears. It isn't me. They had nobody to blame but themselves in the loss to the Patriots. That was horrible. The Seahawks and Redskins games killed me too, especially the former when we had chance after chance to win that game.

I'm a fan of Jay. Mike North was ready to run him out of town last year, he improved his game for sure this year and led us to a division crown.

290-281 were the numbers of those 2 losses. Sorry it doesn't crack the magical number of 300 that exists because we use a counting system based on 10 numerals but it's pretty close to it and goes along well. Your post just before this got it ALL WRONG and backwards! The 300 yard games are useless to rate someone as good or "knowing the system" which was brought up because you brought up Kitna as doing those things year 1 with Martz, on a 3 win team.

And the Fumble part is not that, Its a part of the higher sacks and less INTs are a result of taking those sacks which is often wisely but I was ousting the ignorant interpretation of these stats by media drones.

Since that point, Minus the Pats game, they've been massively effective with out a need to put up those numbers because they've run the ball kept Cutler's need to pass huge totals down by better defensive play as well.

Mius the Pats game, wheck I'll even include it his TD-INT ratio is 14-6. The Bears have been 5th in the league in 3rd down conversion percentage and efficient running and passing to achieving wins. If you want to ignore those improvements for whatever reason or oust them for it taking to long, so be it, but it's where the team has gotten to now and what the first 8 weeks had happen has no merit in the postseason.

I thought they were near the bottom in 3rd down conversion rate. Are they really 5th in the league now? That would be an amazing turnaround.

Since the bye week, they've been 5th in the league. If you include the whole year they wouldn't be but they wouldn't be 3rd worst anymore either, nor does that matter at this point anyway because no team plays the way they did the first 8 weeks at this point in the season.

And I guess in addition to ignoring the first 8 weeks of the season, we can also ignore the Pats game, because no team could possibly play as bad as the Bears did that game.

That 5th in percentage did include the pats game, idk if its the case after the Vikings game though.

When your generally rating success and ability, taking out the highest and lowest usually gets you to what you'll achieve. I doubt they'll have much benefit to counting those Bills and Miami games as well and it is what you see with the team. Since the bye they've been a efficient running defensive team with Cutler making lots of key throws and key 3rd down plays to Bennett.

But it's no lie that Cutler needs still work to do despite all of it. And offensive linemen but I think everyone is looking forward to see how he plays in a playoff game and that will be a lot of pressure and I'm sure the media will non stop ask him, oh hows it feel your first winning season and all this since high school talk. He better get used to that fast.
