Well, sadly, the Bulls playoffs have come to an end.

I'm not sure what I expected from the Bulls this playoffs this season. Nothing would have surprised me. I think had Salmons/Gordon been healthier we would have done better. However, given that they were missing KG, I'm not going to complain much about health issues.

It was a fun series. Not really all that well played in many respects, but awfully exciting and filled with drama. Would have been more fitting to have a closer game down the stretch, but it didn't work out that way.

I think we really lost this game in the second quarter and late first quarter.

I agree with everything Doug. I am upset yet happy we made this far and gave the Celts a fight. We could have done things better but we are still a young team and it was expected that we would struggle at times.

Let me thank Doug for starting this website, it made the 2nd half of the season so much more fun and this playoff run exciting. I hope you all stay on this board in the offseason and keep up with the Bulls moves.

Well who would've thought at the beginning of the season that we would be taking the defending champion Celtics to 7 games and have 7 OT periods? This game...was a disappointment, but you know this was never supposed to be our season. Tomorrow emotions will have passed, we will no longer be depressed, and we can begin our off season discussions.

I concur with Newskoolbulls. Thanks Doug. & also thanks to all the bulls podcasters (even the bullscast guys) for all the great podcasts & discussions this year. Its been a hell of a ride

I'm sad but proud of the Bulls & things can only get better (unless Ben doesnt sign with us :(.....but we'll still have Rose to build around :) )

It was great series as we got so many bright things for the future. Vinny Del Negro learning how to actually coach, Derrick Rose speeding up his development, Noah turning into a really good players and future All star if he get jumper, and most of all developing special bond between the players. We found out that one of are biggest weaknesses is we don't have physical player like Kendrick Perkins and could easily get that in the draft in Dejaun Blair. With a healthy team next year and retaining Gordon this team could be 55 win team. If you can't get Bosh or Amare I would definetely say trade Tyrus

What a ride, eh guys?

When BG's 3 went up I thought it was money and this game would go to another OT, but sadly it hit iron, as did the Bulls season. After the way the season started and from where we were in February I did not expect this at all, and I couldn't be more proud of my Bulls than I am now. Vinny said it after the game, they learned the value of playing every posession like its the last, and that's something to really hang their hat on. This series very easily could have been ours but there's no remorse here. The future looks so bright I gotta wear shades.

I hope Jerry feels the way we feel (odds are he doesnt and is angry)

Whatever Jerry thinks I hope he thinks that Ben Gordon is vital to the team and is deserving of a contract even if it makes him go over the luxury tax.

Jerry probably already fired Paxson for not making second round

Well we knew we weren't winning the championship so in that sense you can't really get too upset about which week you get knocked out in. Probably got as far as we should in the end, even without KG the Celtics have the slight edge on us, and it was really the fact they've had a couple of years to grow as a team where as we've had since the trade deadline that helped them. Probably the reason they always managed to haul us back, where as we couldn't stop them blowing us out in game 3 which decided the series in the end.

The key to me now is Rose getting better, and Noah getting stronger. They're the only two guys I think will be on the team long term, the rest is up to Pax to build. Hopefully 2010 helps us out with another piece of the puzzle, if not we have to somehow trade/draft our way there. Lots of work for Pax to do, a GMs job is never done.

If we're stuck with Deng like it looks we are, he really needs to get healthy and have a big year. We just can't afford to be paying 12 million to him to sit on the bench with an owner who wont pay the tax.

He loves Jerry and wouldnt do that. He is probably upset about not making the 2nd round and not being able to count more money.

Unfortunately guys I think we may have seen the last of Ben Gordon in a Bulls uniform. It games like tonight that absolutely infuriate me about Ben. And I love Ben. But tonight he took the whole team out of their rhythm by ball-hoggin and hoistin up horribly contested jumpers. I think thats all Reinsdork will see.

And he pulled BG's offer off the table at the last minute last off season, so I think that pretty much sums it up right there. Now it's up to Rose to improve, which I have no doubt he will, and Deng to come back to form. I want BG back, but unfortunately I just don't see it happening.

I really hope not, Rose and Bg will be the best backcourt in the league next year, our problem is mainly in the front court.

We don't know who pulled the offer from Gordon whether it was Gar or Reinsdorf

The Celtics got their game winning lead in the second when we went the last 8 minutes making only two free throws. We went from up 6 to down 14 in that time.

During that time Gordon was out of the game for 2 minutes, and while in took one shot. He did turn the ball over twice during that time, but he was hardly the lone ranger there, as we had 8 turnovers during the stretch.

Really I don't see how you can have too much of a problem with Gordon's game. Sure he went 7-23, but he hit all of his 15 foul shots as well. He also dished out more assists and had fewer turnovers than our point guard. But for some reason he's the selfish one?

It was Paxson that pulled that offer, Gar is not in charge of anything yet, let alone last off seasons deals. Dont let the media fool you.

Reinsdorf kicked Paxson out of Gordon deal. Him and Gar were the ones who did Deng deal

Paxson should be happy and proud of our players and team, even our coaching staff. But he can't not be satisfied like he has in years past. A few years ago, being that we were a young team, he relied upon our young guys to continue to develop and they didn't which put a wrench in his plans.

We need to continue to make moves, trade players, sign and trade and continue to draft well. This is the end of our season, but today is also the beginning to next season also. Paxson's season starts now.

I'm aware of that and I was speaking of the whole game. And I love BG. But you have to have seen it thru out the course of the game. Gordon and Salmons did alot 1-on-1 for long stretches. And he had 1 more assist than Rose and 1 less TO lets not get carried away here. We lost because of turnovers yes, but we also lost because the ball wasn't moving like it normally does. We had 17 assists on 77 shots. Many of our shots were contested jumpers. We scored just 6pts in the paint, compared to Boston's 36. We needed to attack the rim and move the ball for a good look and we didn't.

Though I love Ben and want him back, he honestly puts himself in alot of high difficulty shots while playing 1-on-1. And he's done that thru out the season too. And he makes those high difficulty shots too. I don't quite understand it but alot of times when he controls the ball, the rest of the offense just stops and stares. And there was a bunch of that going on tonight. As good a scorer as he is, the PG should be controlling the ball, and helping BG get his good looks.

But it probably doesn't matter anyway because he's probably playing for OKC or DET next year.

i knew we would lose this game, but not like this. we could of won the 2nd game in boston and game 5. but what really killed us is the switch that the celtics keep makeing with are short players, ill love to keep ben gordon but if nothing comes up we should sign and trade him and tyrus for bosh. i think it would help us. because were building around rose not ben gordon. gordon wants money but there no way cheap jerry is gonna go over broad with that hes to in love with his white soxs. but we would really sign him and trade him right away. i really need size and a post player.
