Ya know, Looking at those photos, and given how they build cars now (especially with American safety standards), It's pretty even money that that damage to a car, even a Mercedes, could be cause in a 15-20mph crash. So it's not like he was trying to imitate the mall scene in Blue Brothers. Now, had he been driving a 50's vintage chevy--you know, a car made of metal...real metal...metal that rusts without letting light through, then I'd be more worried about the girder.
