I would love to see the training staff try to tell Toews he couldn't play in Game 7. Toews would flat out kill them if they told him no.

I dunno I think Toews would have done what was best for the team in the long run but hell I dunno.

He would have dressed played third/fourth line minutes and powerplay. Biggest game of the kids career, he would have played. Just ask Jeremy Roenick, he got a shot at the cup at 22, the same age as Toews, and never got another one, when you have that kind of chance you absolutely have to take advantage of the opportunity. Ultimately when Toews looks back on his career after he retires he's going to think about the stanley cup(s) that he's won not the individual stuff so if you asked him to choose a stanley cup with a bad knee versus better performance later on in his career he's going to take the cup every single time.
