He's not that bad. He's a very good open spot-up shooter from three point range (shooting 39%) and is a noticeably above average perimeter defender.

Stop the hate.

He can be a decent player when he's playing aggressively but he needs to show it more consistently.

Another player that gets too much hate and is underappreciated is Gasol, a classy dude who was an All Star starter last season who's only getting paid $7M. I've seen some Bulls fans making him the scapegoat and even calling him the team cancer which is blasphemy. If the Bulls trade him so be it but they're not going to be as good offensively unless they get another All Star in exchange.

Eh...he has plenty of moments where he disappears. Snell has a ways to go before he gets to "solid role player" imo.

I didn't agree with Hubie Brown's "solid" assessment. But he definitely has some value in a limited role as a pro baller.

I guess, but we need him to be closer to solid. He has the potential to be that, but he just vanishes way too often.

snell is pretty bad dude. lets put it this way....what is his strength? the one thing that even when the rest of his game is faltering, he can hang his hat on bringing to the table every single night. I don't think he has one. he has a nice 3 point shot when he is wide open sure...but the rest of his game is garbage. I always felt he had the potential and capability to be a good player but he clearly lacks the mentality it takes to do so. theres a reason why paxson recently said that basically snell has been given every opportunity but has yet to deliver and why he is moving further and further down the bench

His strengths are defense and three point shooting. Not to say that he's Scottie Pippen or Steve Kerr. Or that it makes up for his weaknesses. But they are strengths. Give him credit.

I'm still on blow up the team bandwagon. That includes Snell too. Keep Butler, mirotic, and portis. Everyone else is expendable.

ill give credit where credit is due. at 39% from 3 he is an above average 3 point shooter. defensively, I don't see it as a strength. he is maybe slightly above average on ball defender and a very poor team defender. he still doesn't understand help defense nor how to be in the right position at the right time. those are two things Dunleavy really understands and the bulls miss this. think of all the charges Dunleavy takes by being in the right place at the right time....its certainly not his athleticism that gets him there. snell right now is a 10th man on a team and the bulls are starting to play his minutes as such

Butler is the only one on this team close to non-expendable.

I agree with that. But, I would say that butler, mirotic, and portis are the only ones with any upside. That is why I included mirotic and portis into that group.

no he doesn't. Snell is an awful player.

hes only shooting the 3 well at home. he shoots 32% on the road. his defense is overrated. what "limited role" are you taking about? 12th man? theres not one skill im not confident in him performing

unless he finds something within himself and quickly hes done as an NBA player. but after 3 years of waiting for him to find something i don't think he will

finally we agree on something

lol @ even paxson saying tony sucks

I agree with you guys about Snell. The guy lacks confidence and he constantly looks lost on defense. The guy has ample opportunity to shore up a spot but he doesn't seize it.

Mirotic looks a lot less like Nowitzki than he does Radmanovic. Portis is a rook that hasn't seen much PT. Let's not go overboard here.

I don't think Tony gets too much or too little hate. I mean, it's all about perspective, but it's pretty clear Tony isn't a big piece to this team. He's certainly not a "core" member. That's what really matters. He's a decent player who could spot up and hit wide open 3s and play some pretty serviceable defense, but beyond that, he doesn't offer a whole lot.

What's so frustrating about snell is he'll flash these games every now and then -usually during trade season- which make you want to jump on board. Then after a couple of weeks, he dips off and barely scratches the stat sheet for a while. It'd be nice if he can learn to be consistent, but I'm going to have to see it first to believe it. He's been in the league a few seasons already.

is there a down bump button? he had a nice game and that's good for him....but the fact remains he is a guy that is averaging 5.5 points and 3 rebounds per game in 22 minutes per while shooting 34.5% from the field(even lower than what derrick is shooting this year and that's baaaaaaad)

Tony is pissed at Paxson's comments lmao. its bad when a guy that played a hand in drafting you says you're terrible.

unfortunately im not sold quite yet. it'll take more than a few games of him playing well before im a believer. hes had good games in the past only to disappear again...i need consistency
