My favorite teams
One touched down across the street from my condo.

My best friend in high school was building a house in Washington and it was flattened. He was supposed to move in next week. Thankfully this storm happened when it did, because they are still in their old house which wasn't touched. Their family is very close family friends of ours.
How does that work with the insurance? Do they get a check for the supposed value of the house they built?
Insurance Companies assess the value of the house and you get that amount if it's completely destroyed.

I believe once the foundation is in, you can build at any reasonable temperature.
Seriously, people need to get a grip

This happened an hour before the game and was the cell that was headed to Chicago. Weather Channel is saying f3 but they always seem to downgrade IL, this kind of damage in OK would be f4 (this is not a low quality neighborhood with cheap houses).
A retractable roof does not a storm shelter make.
Downgraded to an F2, but that is deceiving b/c the rating does not take into account existing wind...which was already tropical storm force.
The problem in the Midwest is almost no home is even up to hurricane code, which they are now doing in Oklahoma etc. There is a means to protect against at least an F3 for existing homes:

Thoughts and prayers to those downstate.

Yep, East Peoria end. My brother is at the far Beverly Manor side of Sunnyland.
I figured out how you guessed Sunnyland, I don't know when you were here but Highview also fits the description of two towns claiming them for taxes now.
From a video I saw and knowing where the guy who died lived I'm amazed Westlake or Cherry Tree didn't get hit.
nvanprooyen, I'm not sure if this will work but I saw this link on FB with the area hit drawn over a map, http://prntscr.com/24xkuq
One of my Sisters lives in Sunnyland off of Summit...I remember when E. Peoria annexed them. When I grew up there Sunnyland was all part of Washington..I went to Beverly Manor Grade.
My other Sister lives South of Cherry Tree Center accross 24 off of S. Cummings Lane in that neighborhood, that backs up to Westlake...They said lots of damage in their area, the Condo's were leveled in on the end of her street, they were very fortunate ...I have heard Georgetown Apartments to the east were obliterated...
I hope for the best for you and everyone there...
