That’s exactly what I heard as well, the only difference is next year is not looking good either. He won't be back this year, but I think it's 50/50 going into next year.
I would agree with you except that we are the old guys with a three cup trio.
I'll take old and weird and short and less games and see what happens?! This might be a better chance for Hawks than normal, except that they have to beat the best first.
I say hell yeah! Lets get the Lightning toe to toe first and settle some past shit. A 50 game Keith>80 game Keith.
Its our advantage being small and old.
Bruh....Bolts would/will savage us. Our roster, speed, skill, and size are inferior to theirs, whether 1 game, 50, or 80. Fact.
Does not mean we are trending well, just gots to give this some time with realistic expectations and timeline.
There's guys that have expiring contracts to consider trading. Janmark, Sodeberg, Walmark (I think).
Keep Janmark around if he willing to sign a cap friendly extension. He came to Chicago cause he felt the Stars didn't utilize his game to it's strengths.
Im with you tater but if they are still in playoff chase im not sure they move them. They are a little worried about filling the UC next year making playoffs might help that. Just my 2 centsThere's guys that have expiring contracts to consider trading. Janmark, Sodeberg, Walmark (I think).
Yeah Janmark has been a surprise to me.
Any former hawks out there available. What Are the Blackhawks Going to Do Between Today and the Trade Deadline? - Bleacher Nation
It's a tough question to answer, but we have some thoughts.www.bleachernation.com
As far as the Blackhawks are concerned, Friedman said the biggest question facing the team (with their $20M+ in cap space) is what the sweetener be for Chicago in a deal where they are taking on either a bad contract or dead money: “Stan Bowman isn’t going to do that for free,” Friedman said. “He’s going to ask for a decent prospect or a good pick.”
