If some team before the trade deadline gets desperate for a QB trade him for the season then bring him to understudy for Bears new first round pick QB assuming they continue to lose at their current pace.

Just a thought.

As long as we throw Barkley in to finish and cut you-know-who.

Who's going to give up value for Hoyer? A ton of teams could have had him for cheap in free agency but passed. What makes anyone think they're going to not only pay his salary, but also give up something significant?

A contender who's starting QB goes down.

Nobody wants Brian Hoyer. But someone might want Jay"-Low" Cutler . . .

If a contending team trades for Hoyer, they won't be a contending team anymore...

The Rams actually seem like an interesting possibility. Fischer defensive HC will like a game manager type who can also put up 300 yard games and given the have a bellweather type of RB they might actually bite on this.

We should be able to get a 1'st rounder for him. Just look at the Hoyer thread from today. Better than Tom Brady. Just ask the 22 year old football guru's here on the site. They know DAMMITT

Trade him to the Rams for Goff and their 2017 and 2018 first round choices. Done deal.

Mainly having fun in speculating but really hoping some Cutler haters heads will explode for real entertainment value.

Hoyer is exactly what this team needs. He is the bridge to finding a real franchise QB who will be easy to ditch if, god-forbid, this team does find one. Cutler is simply false hope of being that franchise QB.

Trade Jay to anyone for anything.
They won't take him for the money owed anyway.
So keep him as a backup and kick him loose end of year.
What a waste of 8 years and a hundred million dollars.

His value will be in helping to have the cap space to re-sign Alshon Jeffery.

Hoyer is like a redux of Josh McCown. Difference is this time the Bears will get it right. They will cut bait with Cutler and bring back Hoyer while they draft the QB of the future.
