I get most people don't think he will or deserves to (he shouldn't). But schoen and daboll are absolutely desperate at qb and literally nothing else will save their jobs. They've scouted him a ton this year. I have no doubt that they are taking him if he's available
Could always be a smokescreen so that no one trades above them and takes Dart. He seems more like a Daboll guy.

Maybe not but that’s what was being proposed in the thread. If he fell to 4, the value is about #39 according to the trade chart. Doubt NE would pass on him though…and doubt he would fall to 4. If for whatever crazy reason he did fell and the bears could get him for #10 and #39, I would not think twice about it.
I thought it was for both 2nd rounders. I always hate trading up, unless we aren’t dealing 1st or 2nd rounders. Those are the rounds that Poles does the best in.

Hell no. For Carter? Yes…for anyone else? No.
This is where I’m at and I like Mason. But I rather keep 39 and grab another DT in the 2nd or 3rd. I believe the combined value of the guy we take at 10 and 39 would just be better for us than Mason alone would be.

If Mason is there at like 8 or something, that’s where I’d look to move up for him.

I don't like the trade up either, but I don't necessarily agree with you r2nd statement. We have no great players really...
We got a lot of good young players with their best football in front of them. JJ is borderline. Dexter, Gordon, Rome, DJ, and Wright have a chance to be great. Our first draft pick this year could be great too. I think Dayo will surprise a lot of people as well. I’d consider Thuney great as well. If we stock the team full of good players, then greatness will be the result from our best players.

I better not see anyone in here advocating for a trade up, after they argued with me by taking a position that the meaningless season ending victory against the Packers was more important than our draft positioning
A Pack loss only gets to 7 so still would have to trade up for Carter at 4.

Don’t get me wrong I like mason, but I’m not as high on him as others. I’d be fine with him at 10, but I don’t see him as a player you trade up for. Think he benefitted quite a bit playing next to Grant and having him take on double teams, which gave mason a lot of 1 on 1 opportunities. Graham doesn’t do great taking on double teams.

I think he’s a fine player but I’m not so sure he’d get this much buzz any other year. It’s a weak draft in terms of elite blue chippers, and I see him a tier below that. Definitely like the value better at DT in round 2, and it’s not a huge need right now after signing Grady and with Billings coming back. Still would like to grab one in the 2nd or 3rd though.

No. I could live with a future 3rd or something - which is nowhere near the price it would take to move to 4, so no. If Bears are going to move up - and i dont think they should - but gun to my head they have to move up somewhere scenario- if theyre moving up from 39 to the earlier 2nd or very late first to grab a surprise fall I would hate that the least.

It sure looked like it meant something to the guys that actually played the game.

I’m pretty sure it was great for Caleb to have one of his 4th quarter efforts finally cash in.

Anybody that ever played a sport and wasn’t sitting on the bench is never ok with losing and especially to a bitter rival.

No. Absolutely no trading up please, and i love Mason Graham....NoHomo

The thing is I believe someone will trade up to 8 or 9 for Graham.

So if we want him we should trade up to 7 or 8.

I'm good with Grady Jarrett, Gervon Dexter and Andrew Billings on the IDL for at least the next 2 years.

The only way I think we trade up(which I highly doubt) is to pick up Jeanty.
And I believe he would have to drop to about the 7th pick before we did that.
Would love to have Carter, but not for what it would take. Like someone said,it would take more than the 10th and 39th pick. And thats a big no for me.
