The only way I think we trade up(which I highly doubt) is to pick up Jeanty.
And I believe he would have to drop to about the 7th pick before we did that.
Would love to have Carter, but not for what it would take. Like someone said,it would take more than the 10th and 39th pick. And thats a big no for me.
Look Graham is worth losing a few picks over. Nobody is trading up for a running back, it's questionable at best to take one at ten anyway that is 5'8".

You are dead wrong on this.
A small trade up to block trade ups to 9 and 8 for Graham predictably ahead of the bears is possible but unlikely given our shortage of picks over Poles tenure.

Likely we stay put and Graham/Jeanty/Warren

Or trade down and Jeanty/Warren/Grant

That all said seriously, a DE at 10 doesn't surprise me in the least and is acceptable.

I don't see many other scenarios than described above, except trading down ..a run occurring on our expected player pool, and us settling for safety or something.

They need another great player or two. Carter is the best player in the draft and considering what premier edge rushers cost $$$ wise and draft capital (multiple 1sts), getting Carter for #10 and #39 is a no brainer IMO. You’ll have him for years on a rookie deal, and the bears would still have a 2nd round pick…could always trade down in the 2nd to get another 3rd or 4th.

In my opinion, they should get good players this year and then trade up for a great player next year.

You can’t fix the whole team in one draft.

But if we think we will win more than 5 games this year and be way higher than the 10 pick in the 2026 draft, then you might as well trade up this year for the great player and then draft good players in the 2026 draft.

Way easier to trade up from pick 10 than pick 15th+.

But like I said, at the end, you can’t fix the whole team in one draft. You draft your players, then try to compete with what you have for that year. Then repeat and you fix your team within the next or next two drafts. And this is assuming all your draft picks pan out.

Now, does Poles think there is someone worthy of trading up this year? That’s the question.

I highly doubt we trade down for anyone....so the point is moot.

We have had a shortage of picks.
Poles has shown a tendency to move up or down the draft given his perceived circumstances. I haven't minded the trade downs as much as moving up for reaches or paying too much draft capital in trades while getting little in return for trades.

In short Poles has looked like a young inexperienced GM.

He shows me he is willing to learn and learning.
I am cautiously optimistic at this moment.

The only player worth trading up for is Membou. I wouldn't give up #39 or #41 to do it however.
