You know, I hate to be cynical but I have to wonder about locker room tension at this point. We know many players were Lovie loyalists and I imagine many of them harbor resentment towards certain players on the team who, in their eyes, sabotaged the season and indirectly got their beloved coaching staff fired. We've already gotten a little hint of tension on the sidelines when Marshal was reportedly yelling at Forte. We had D.J. Moore question Cutler to the media and subsequently get doghoused.

Well I don't know if Bears fans getting their expectations all high is the smart or right thing to do. Expectations were high last offseason too, sky high.

I heard Matt Bowen warned fans that we're not going to see even a 10-6 season next year. A drop off in performance is expected after a team sacks their entire coaching staff and starts over.

Quite possible, but even if the defense is 80% as good as it was this year, and the offense improves to even 15th in the league, we should see a better product on the field as a whole. I think the success of this team will depend on the DC hire. A great hire can catapult this team. Why wouldn't the Bears make the playoffs, when other first-year HC's found success. It is a matter of believing and executing.

This is the gayest, weakest, nanciest thing i have ever heard....You dont think its a good idea for the fans to get their expectations all high? Well thanks for your concern i guess. My "expectations" are non existent right now as i am sure most fans are. We have no control over what happens but i plan to enjoy it every step of the way.
