Thoughts on the first episode of the new season??

I watched the first episode last night.

Seems like they are going for the same type of Cop characters again.... interesting but does kinda have that feel like "Didn't I meet this person last season?"

Color me interested for now....

I don't hate Colin Farrell. And I'd like to see some more of Rachel McAdams in her panties. So far- interested.

I am sure it will all come together in time.... my bet this season is that one of the 3 Cops.... Collin Farrel... Rachel McAdams or the 3rd dude who almost killed himself.... one of those 3 will turn out to be a serial killer or connected to serial killing in some way.

Interesting what the storyline for the Viagra taking I'm going 100 mph on my motorcycle guy/Taylor Kitsch is going to be.

Must have been some good blow CF was doing to show up at the crime scene at the end of the episode not looking all wasted.

The first episode IMO was very underwhelming. I barely had any clue on what was actually going on. I get it's the first episode and they need to build everyone's background but it seemed like it was all over the place and we got barely any information outside of CF being a deadbeat cop/dad (which is waaaay over played in today's entertainment), Rachel McAdams lived in a very hippie type atmosphere as a child and needed structure and now likes butt stuff, Taylor Kitsch is living with PTSD and Vince Vaughn is part of some type of crooked politics. Though, story wise they only showed that the city manager is dead and now all 3 different areas of the police are involved.

I'll hold off judgement on this season until after the 2nd or 3rd episode.

I'm not going to bother with this season. It looks fucking horrible.

This season they built up to the mysterious dead body which concluded the episode.... and the dead body was just oddly left sitting on a bench out in the middle of nowhere.... in the first season they launch you into it with the fucked up dead ritually murdered chick.

Also the Woody/Matt characters in the 1st season kinda made you forget any sort of holes that might have been there in the storytelling.... lol as soon as Mcconaughey's character started babbling his half-crazy in the first episode I was hooked.

Idk that any of the 3 main characters hooked us in like that this season... PTSD guy is the most interesting IMO.

It has good actors, so it has potential, I'll keep watching.

i dont think season two will be as good as season one... i wasnt to impressed with the first episode of season two.. i think the only part i liked was dude beating up the bullys dad.

I really don't think anything can top a Matthew/Woody buddy cop season. Probably the best tv acting series I have ever seen. Pretty bummed about the new cast but I'm still gonna give it the ol college try

Did not like. I also disliked the last 2 eps of season 1.

I was hoping in this last ep that, just in case they hadn't made it obvious enough to us that colin farrell did drugs, we would have a scene of him snorting bath salts off a dead hooker's frontbutt.

And vince vaughn as russian mafia? :shibe:

The last two episodes of season 1 were crap, and made the rest of the season crap in retrospect. Harrelson was 10x better than the other guy.

The ham was too fucking salty.
