I almost got hit by a car on my bike when i was about 12. I was riding on the sidewalk going to a friends house, this car rode up on the sidewalk TRYING to hit me. The driver/passenger were laughing. I grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood, the driver was black I am white, im not saying for sure it was racially motivated, but that was my assumption following the incident.
I'm pretty sure most people would have thought the same thing.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen everywhere, because it does...........BUT: Last time I was in Chicago driving up 94 I happened to notice that the majority of people zig in and out of lanes frequently with no turn signal at all. There was one jackass in a Yukon who switched lanes in front of me 6 times (no joke) and never got a car length ahead of me. Hey asshole! You are still right in fucking front of me. What did you accomplish other than pissing me off and forcing me to hit my brakes?
I lay the HORN on for Type A(hole) driver behavior.

That is normal. They don't care if they cut you off and make you slam on your brakes nearly causing a pileup because some other non-driving ass clown is tailgating your so close you can't even see their headlights in your rear view mirror. All they give a shit about is getting around you and then the next car, then the next and so on.....and they could care less how many lane changes it takes to do so.

back around 1990 I once got fed up with a stoner dork in a Nissan Pulsar pulling this on a two lane highway I was on. He got stuck behind someone going speed limit in the other lane so I pulled next to the car ahead of them and matched their speed for the next ten miles. When I finally pulled ahead he zipped lanes and back rolled down his window and started screaming at me to pull over. Yeah, that was going to happen. Then he tried to spit at my car at 60 mph, the dumbass hocked a luggie into his own car thanks to the wind.

That's classic. Good for the asshole.

The problem with driving the Dan Ryan is that if you don't drive like you're in a Demolition Derby, you're in the minority. It's friggin nuts.

I use my turn signals about 99.9% of the time. There are occasions where I'll be on a 4 lane road and nobody around, and I'll just switch, but that happens every know and then.

I just can't stand the people who dart in and out of traffic without the signal.

Yeah, I swear people honestly think that they don't need to use a turn signal to change lanes because they aren't actually turning. USE IT EVERY TIME FUCKWADS

I suggest not driivng the Dan Ryan or Calumet expressways. Turn signals are not a requirement.

I didn't realize I was this much in agreement with everyone regarding turn-signals. I always thought I was too much a stickler about it - guess I'm not alone (well, in this regard).

I've been known to blare the horn (if you can assume the horn on a small Korean car can "blare") behind asshats who turn without using a signal. It's just common courtesy.

OMG you poor baby. That must have been a very traumatizing experience. I mean I could understand it now cause you can be kind of a pill sometimes and i could see where you might piss them off, but you were just a sweet innocent child back then.

I refuse to drive into the city unless I'm going to the U.C. Everywhere else I take the train and then a cab. City drivers are nuts!
