China already gets enough of our money. Let Smith earn some of it back and come here when he is released without the NBA butting in.

RealGM • View topic - Should Bulls pay over $500,000 to Chinese team for Smith?
I've been browsing the web and I was suprised that there were tons of articles about the bulls possibly paying out 5 hundred thousand dollars to China to bring back Smith early......I even saw other messageboards like real gm still suggesting this as a good idea...
I'm still all for it if its possible....
All hope for JRSmith to Chicago is not lost....
NBA Free Agency 2011: Could J.R. Smith Be in the Plans for the Chicago Bulls? | Bleacher Report
I'm not joking or trying to stir up trouble...I'm just suggesting a very real option that is still out there..
Free-agent buzz: Players seek way out of China - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
It is already in the works that both Smith and Chandler are fighting hard to get out of there Chinese contracts...If GarPax can come up with 500 grand, it is very possible Chna woul drelease according to reports....
500 grand is like pennys in nba money.....
This is still a possibility on the table that is worth investigating for GarPax..
Chicago Bulls Trade Rumors: The Bulls Should Avoid Rip Hamilton and J.R. Smith | Bleacher Report
If you are going to do something as -able as using BR as a source, then I get to use my BR article as a source, too.
LoL, I hear ya...
That's an awful BR artivle you posted....they said we should avoid Hamilton???? I'm glad we got him..
I know BR isn't that credible...I was just weighng options and hoping PaxGar keep JR in consideration for the future options....that's all
What BR asked me to do was post an article about how J.R. Smith and Rip Hamilton would help the Bulls. I said that I'd write an article about how they would hurt the Bulls because I strongly believed that neither of them would be the tipping point that would get them passed the Heat, Lakers, or Celtics.
While I don't feel as strongly about anti-Rip as I do anti-J.R., he does have his down points. While he will make the team better, there is a big health and age risk. And financial risk. He and Korver are going to be taking up 10M for the next 2 seasons. And Rip another 5M at age 37?
