He threw a bit of a tantrum earlier in the game when he got pulled. He did some yelling and threw down his helmet from what I heard. He's been butting heads with McCarthy over his reduced playing time. He was told to not bring the ball out of the endzone on that kickoff and some of his teammates said they felt he did it just to spite McCarthy. There was turmoil in the locker room after the game. I'm not surprised by this move at all.

His excuse was he could not take the chance of the ball landing on the one. Apparently he thought it was that close. If it was, that was a great kick by special teams. It is something that I am surprised we do not see any more. At a minimum, you see an illegal block in the back on 80% of returns that pushes the team back far inside the 20.
I dont mind seeing him go, he killed the bears in fill in duty, always breaking long ones.

This guy misses 4 field goals and an extra point against a division opponent and Aaron basically coddles him at the end of the game... *hugs* "It's okay, buddy! You'll get 'em next time!!!"
This guy decides to return a, what he felt was returnable, ball instead of taking a knee and Aaron throws a big tantrum on the sideline. Guy then gets traded...
Why did Aaron keep his cool with Mason's bad day against the Lions? Not complaining! Just an observation.
