I can understand getting infront of a defender if they happen to go out of bounds during a play.. but this shit is dirty.

Anybody as a football fan who isn't disgusted by that should be shot in the back of the head as well.
Well, I should probably be shot in the back of the head anyway.

I thought it was super funny.

Completely unnecessary and he only got fined $15,000 for that.

I can tell you're full of class. What if that gunner had sustained serious injury being blindsided like that? You can't seriously find that funny.

I don't think a fine goes far enough in this situation, Brayton should be suspended the rest of this season and all of next season. He has no argument for a "heat of the battle" type moment because he was on the bench and deliberately got up and tried to hurt a defenseless player.

You cannot be serious. I guess the league finds that James Harrison's clean hits while he is on the field are more of an issue?

*I am not making the case that Harrison should not have been fined in some cases but he was fined at least twice for clean hits.*

Not lying
Regardless of the fact that the penalty paled in comparison to the sanction imposed on Jet coach Sal Alosi, the decision to fine Brayton only $15,000 for an intentional and deliberate and clearly illegal blow at a time when players are being fined $50,000 for unintentional blows to the head will provide another basis for confusion at a time when the league needs players to buy in to the new approach to in-game safety.

I am just going to choose to ignore you. I got into it with another ignorant poster on this forum before and it is not worth my time.

$15k is what players are being fined for touching the quarterback's helmet these days. I would seriously like to know how this escaped serious media attention and a long suspension.

If you're talking about Brayton, you're a fucking dumbass. What if that player tore his ACL because of that hit? Brayton got up from the bench and layed out a gunner and he only got a $15,000 fine.
