I said it the other day when I first read the thread.
When it's 80 plus outside and you have 20k + in warm bodies breathing in the building the ice will have issues. The ice cools from the bottom up. There for with warm air on top it softens the ice. No matter WHERE the building is. There is no way around it.
It effects both teams evenly so rarely do the players seriously ***** about it. It's just the way physics work.
Hartnell mentioning it tonight is kind of funny because it will no doubt be the same way in Philly. Unless of course they can find out a way to COOL that building at 50 or below. A building the size of any arena is NOT an easy thing to cool like that.
