McAllister+another small prospect for Lilly? He hasn't been too great in AAA this year, but then again he is only 22 and just look at his numbers in 2009 and 2008. McAllister and Gary Sanchez (he's hitting .378/.455/.622 as a 17 year old in rookie ball right now and was the Yankees 7th best prospect before the year according to BA). McAllister was 5th.

That sounds pretty fair to me because McAllister was good in all other minor league levels but is having trouble in AAA. Maybe all the teams pursuing him, teams will try to outbid as there ain't a lot of SP avaiable at the deadline. I would be piss if Hendry does not trade Lilly. But, I think he will do something right this time.

Yeah it does suck he has a NTC and that's probably what the meeting was about. But, maybe it was like this. JH to Lilly, can I trade you to a contending team if I get a deal an in place and then try and re-sign you in the off season as Lilly wants to finish his career with the Cubs. But JH lies and does not re-sign him and leaves the rotation to Cashner or Jackson. The last sentence is what I hope and I know JH won't do that.

Yep, that is probably what is going to happen and what said. I think the Yanks will swoop in and acquire him. Who wants to play with the Mets? They always choke.

Morosi notes that the Tigers are not pursuing Ryan Theriot. That sucks...but I still think if they acquire Lilly, Theriot will still be in that trade.
