He should go now, not after this is resolved. In-patient rehab programs usually last 4 weeks, well before any legal proceedings would commence. He's got an issue with alcohol, regardless of what happened at his house last weekend.

I actually lived exactly where this all went down for a few years (about 6 miles from Kane's current domicile), so not too sure what you're attempting to get at there. Then again, you went on several diatribes about the Chicago PD and such since you didn't even bother reading the initial reports to determine where it happened and assumed it happened in Chicago, so I shouldn't expect too much...carry on...

We don't even know why she and her friend went back to Kane's house. We don't know if he invited her back to keep drinking and keep the party going, or if her and her friend went back to hook up. If that was the reason, and she decided she didn't want to when she got there, then that's her right and Kane needs to respect that. It really doesn't matter the reason because at the end of the day, she was possibly sexually assaulted. I wholeheartedly agree that in this day and age, women need to protect themselves and understand the situations where sexual assaults typically happen. But that doesn't excuse what happens. If a guy can't figure out that a girl can't or won't give her consent and still follows through, they need serious help and deserve the book thrown at them.
Rask, from what you wrote in that long diatribe, it honestly came off as "it's the girls fault". If it didn't, many of the board members wouldn't of called you on it. We need to stop blaming victims and start looking at why certain people can't control themselves or what made them go about the action.
