Update. Still working on this. Had 2-3 support guys look and they can't figure it out.


Problem might be this: Hired a company to help optimize the site and make it faster, more efficient. They installed some things on WP that might have effected the forum. They are off work until Monday. So it's pretty much me (with no knowledge of coding or anything) trying to figure this out. Bear with me here. I apologize.

It seems to be getting worse. I have trouble loading or posting in most threads. "security error".
New posts don't show up in threads either. It shows new posts, but when you click on the thread it's the same old posts from yesterday.

They probably implemented a caching solution that isn't configured correctly. That would explain the behavior.

that’s basically what happened. The problem is, I can’t delete that cache system for some reason.

Was it implemented using a plugin like WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, etc? Or some kind of custom solution using Redis / memcached, file cache, APC, etc? If it's a plugin should be easy enough to purge and disable until they get their shit straight.

backup the bad tree, rm the working directory, then rebuild cache. This is basic stuff. =/

Same behavior. Made a post, saw it in posted format, but when I went out onto the topics list, it didn't show I had posted, the topic I posted it to showed only its last poster, etc., etc. Shook my head, was certain I had clicked Post and not Preview when I saw it in posted format, but maybe not... so started again and got the notice that other posts had been made since I opened the topic, did I want to see them? Clicked to see them, and there was my original post. But that is the only way I can see my original post at this point.

It was a post to the topic on the Astros cheating. The previous post had been by Fatbeard, and the topics list still shows the Fatbeard post as the most recent. Also says I haven't read the latest post yet, when I have.

Get it fixed please?
