It was Monk because people IRL call me Monk. After the TV show. Then I found out that Tony Shalhoub is a huge Packer fan and the name lost its luster.

People tell me all the time I look like Michael J Fox, and they were some of my favorite movies growing up so I changed it to Marty McFly

So my teammates all started saying Dat's (that's) Remy or Remy dat haircut is ridiculous which eventually turned into Remydat.

Nah, I dont carry cyanide around in the field. We send our samples to our for cyanide analysis, or aqua regia, or lithium metaborate fusion, depending on the question we are trying to answer.

Gold Cyanide just sounds cooler and is more concise than "Gold lithium metaborate fusion with an inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometer finish."

And prospecting is what the old timers did. I use SCIENCE! :woot:

Then the board switched and I had to create a new user name. David Terrell was my favorite player so David Terrell was my username. Then the board switched again and my favorite player was Rex Grossman so I was Sexy Rexy. Then Rex sucked so for some reason I decided on Bearin' Down. I transferred here and used the same name.

Ugh, people still prospect to this very day. Its perfectly fine to introduce science into it though so you're not just poking holes willy nilly. Such as prospecting with a geologist.

Hey! I'm a geologist (geochemist to be specific)!! But many of my co-workers are "prospectors". I am a much bigger fan of systematic exploration. This isnt the old days where you can trip on a mineralized outcrop (except for in 3rd world or dangerous countries).

And I would happily prospect with you if I had the opportunity. I value the knowledge a geologist brings to the table. My cousin and I have been wanting to go out prospecting and gold mining in California for the past few years. Its most definitely on the bucket list.

Why did they call you Monk? Was it to do with the obsessive–compulsive personality disorder?
