It's 1 game so far you know he is sitting. Acting like it's relevant is ridiculous... Rockford doesn't even play til Friday so what the hell would be the point of sending him down today anyway? Nothing at all

It wouldn't be relevant if this wasn't a common trend with the Hawks and Q over the last few years. They have done it with several of their prospects. Hayes, Morin, Pirri, and now TT... There's no point in having prospects sit in the press box when they would be playing 20 minutes a night in the AHL. It is counter-productive to their development. You need to be playing games to continue developing. Especially a guy like TT coming over from Europe.

It cost the Hawks both Hayes brothers, and both look to be solid NHL players at this point. Pirri also has 6 goals in his last 8 games, and may turn into a decent NHL player as well...

Why send Nordstrom down today? As you said, what the hell's the point? Cap space and a roster spot, actually, Since Versteeg comes off LTIR today, they have to move cap space and a roster spot to Rockford. If they were going to send TT down they would have done it now. As Q said, he needs to play in a top-six role, so when exactly do you see him getting into the lineup with Versteeg back? IF someone gets hurt?

It's just a dumb way to handle prospects.

I fail to see any argument how sending him to Rockford today, tomorrow, or Friday will drastically alter his development, the thing it will alter is his paycheck. And I don't view this "trend" as drastically legitmate as other view this trend. As players like Morin who sat after they couldn't be sent to Rockford anymore and when Pirri and Hayes were able to be, they were more often in rockford and not often sitting in the press box.

How is the lack of development never seen as relevant to Nordstrom. The same situation happened last year when somehow he was never considered a young player that Q could of played while Morin was considered to be one... you know despite illogicality in age differences there. Then there was people complaining earlier about Rasmussen being called up for the West Coast trip over others like McNeil which was idiotic. It's clear they were using that strategy there and kept guys developing well and younger in Rockford, and put a guy unlikely to play in the press box.

Who knows, maybe tomorrow Nordstrom or someone else will be called up and TT will be sent down. Maybe it was cap related as we've seen them intentionally chose certain contracts to go up or down based on cap-shifted like when Johns was recalled for a moment earlier in the season.

Think about why TT was left up for a second. A guy is just coming back from a serious injury. What happens if he reinjures himself tonight or he just isnt fully ready yet and the team needs TT next game? Waste of time and paper work sending TT down if they need to call him back up right away. Dont worry your little heart out if steeg is game ready and able to commit to full ice time again TT will probably be sent down. This game is a test game for steeg dude you know that. Come on!!

As for q saying TT needs top six minutes? Yah he gets a gong for contradicting how he himself has been playing TT. that did make me chuckle also.

All of the Hawks' beat reporters drew the conclusion from Q's comments that Teuvo would be back in the Hawks lineup on Friday. Nothing official, but they've been pretty spot on in deciphering Q's hints.
