This was it. He has a tendency to run into coverage instead of running where there are no defenders. Caleb threw a dime but Rome f’ed it up.I think Rome made a mistake on which shoulder the ball would be thrown over. He looked inside, but with a safety on the inside, there's no way the ball should have gone there. If Rome looked outside shoulder the whole time he most likely catches that in stride.
But it needed to happen the way it did so the Bears could launch Flus into orbit.
I would agree, he lost the ball and slowed down to find it.If Rome keeps running, he at least has a chance to come down with it.
Well, I’m glad they lost!x.com

Edit: This thread isn't about whether you're glad the Bears lost.
I posted on here after the game that if he kept running and tracked the ball that that would of been a game winning TD.x.com

Other than this play, I don't think Rome has been the issue.Caleb and Rome have left at least 300 yards and 3 TD’s on the field this season.. Once they get in sync it’ll be scary.
I've been wanting Flus gone, actually never wanted him back last offseason but hell no am i glad he didn't catch that for the game winning TD. To be able to win a game that way and against a division rival would have been awesome, and i also believe Flus had already lost his job before that debacle. He just might of made it another week or even through the season but would of been gone in the off season. That also would of gave Caleb even more confidence in himself to be able to win a game in the closing seconds. This may seem wrong, but I’m glad they didn’t score and the game ended the way it did.
If the Bears had won, knowing the clown show who runs things, Flus would still be the HC, and probably would be next season, as well.
