Source: Tarvaris Jackson's season over

If Brett Favre can't play Monday night against the Chicago Bears, the Minnesota Vikings won't be turning to backup Tarvaris Jackson as his replacement.

The team placed Jackson on injured reserve Thursday with a turf toe injury, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

I know this is a Chicago sports fan website but I am only here because of the Chicago Cubs. I am a Vikings fan, as hard as that is to admit this year, and I have a feeling it may be ugly on Monday night either way. If the Vikings are going to rely on Patrick Ramsey to lead this team it is obviously a desperation move.....but on the other hand, if the Vikings beat the Bears with Patrick Ramsey at the helm.....that would show you the New England game was not a farce....

Indeed it would..but barring injuries to our entire team..I dont see it happening.

The Patriots beating of the Bears was the real deal. The Bears are at least better than the Vikings which right now have got to be the worst team in the league.

It will be a tough day for you next Tuesday when the "worst team in the league" beats up on the so called Division Leaders.....regardless of the outcome the best possible result of this season will see the Bears play one game in the playoffs. You can't compete in the playoffs when you have the worst QB in the league!

:lmao:What?!! Jimmy Clausen doesn't play for the Bears. He plays for the Panthers!

By the way Cutler is ranked 15th, Favre is ranked 22nd, Jackson is ranked 64th and Joe Webb is ranked 75th!! And you're gonna dis the Bears QBs?

I can't argue with that.

Prove to me with stats and reasoning how Jay Cutler is the worst QB in the league.

Well he's not the worst he's just mind numbingly average like the rest of the team which I have provided stats for.

I don't think he meant he was the worst literally.

He may be ranked 15th on someone's QB ranking system....not real sure who or how that ranking is calculated. Cutler's team is better this year than in the past but I don't think that has anything to do with him. He is not a QB that can lead the Bears to any success in the playoffs.

Given the lack of an O-Line, and the overall lack of a credible receiving corps, 15th is fan-damn-tastic.

Right, its only one spot behind Jon Kitna!

The Bears have one of the lowest-scoring offenses in the NFL (24th, despite having a great turnover-forcing defense and a very good return game). They have one of the least-productive passing games in the NFL (26th in yards and YPA). Their offense is 30th in total yardage.

Anyone who thinks Cutler has been fantastic this year is out of their mind. The only reason Cutler's rating isn't even worse is because sacks and fumbles don't count against your rating. Cutler is leading the NFL in fumbles.

then start a thread discussing how pathetic the offensive line is. Cutler also leads the league in Sacks (43), and hits taken (1,289)...That's like blaming Cutler for the defensive giving up a drive. There are some things he just can't help.

So, if you lead the league in sacks and hits taken, that means you are "fantastic"?

No, but to succeed IN SPITE of that is telling.

Some of the people on this forum are TERRIBLE.

Ladies and gentlemen, Exhibit A.
