I agree....But maybe his spot will be taken by a more defensively minded player on the 3rd line since our 3rd line usually goes against other teams 1st line

That's part of why I hope he can make it to the 2nd line. Which would be in assumption of Sharp centering. Although if they play Bolland-Sharp-Hossa together as the 2nd line that could as well be their 1st line pairing match-up with the great firepower too.

Im not sure if we will be able to do that this year.

But if Sharp/ Bolland/ Hossa is our 2nd line, why not match them up with the other teams' first?

Stalberg has proven anything as a Hawk yet, but ideally I'ld like to see him on a line with Sharp and Hossa, both of whom are fast and defensively responsible. Stalberg's speed would make that line lightning fast and his linemates could lead him by example defensively.

Id be cool with that. Bolland and Hossa are monsters defensively. Hossa is very underrated defensively

Little highlight video of Stalberg when he was at Vermont.

I think baring something catastrophic, like him sucking well below his level or being hurt he is a lock to make the team. It's a matter of where he will probably play. Unless the arbiter lowballs Neimi to the Hawks friendly just above 2 Mil range I don't think there is much else they can get to make him start in rockford.

I think if he shows he can be dynamic offensively he can be on the 2nd line if Sharp centers. The negative is he could be a loafer a bit and Q has to have him so he is starting down on line 4 or he could show some bit of defensive play be on the 3rd line if they want to use, Sharp, Bolly, Hossa as a top matchup line.

That's some great speed with Bolly if both guys show some consistency.

It could be a solid line, no doubt.

I'm not high on Stalberg and Skille being members of a top checking line as of now unless they do mix role with Sharp Hossa on a top matchup with maybe Kopecky or Bickell with them.

I know this probably seems silly, but why does the Hawks site still have him in a Maple Laughs jersey?

In Skille's defense, his D improved by leaps and bounds last season and he recieved a lot of PK time and excelled at it. If he is bought in, and he seems to be, i'm not to worried about his checking as he can be agressive and has some snarl. That being said, I think his skill set would be better used in a different role if possible.

Because they have yet to take team photos for 2010-2011

I'd rather not see them roll out with Stalberg on their checking line, Skille may be up to it but without a piece like Ladd it probably wont be working too well early in the year.

Turco is a star NHL player who came in and signed yesterday and must of went through the ropes of putting the jersey on and taking the photos for the press and all that.

Star player should have nothing to do with a pic.

Yes it should. Turco should be taking pictures when he goes through the signing process to show off and put on the jersey and take the player picture.

A boarderline player traded wouldn't go through it, so he likely wouldn't of taken a proper team photo picture.
