I agree. If anything they've all been sleeping lately.

No points in the last 7 games for Bickell, no points in the last 6 games for Bolland, no points in the last 5 for Frolik.

I just find it funny that Stalberg has a better shooting percentage, better GPG, PPG, way more physical/hits, more GWG, less than half his salary...pretty much better in every category than Frolik...but gets torn up - yet Frolik is "doing his job", "knows his role"...because he had a 3pt game in the playoffs in a 7-2 win.

Haters gonna Hate.

I think the issue is the amount of chances Stalberg gets. 100% more chances makes it far more noticable when he misses the net 10 times a night, or shoots into the goalies chest. Plus, it's his second season with the team, so the honeymoon is long over.

just my two cents.

If he's getting chances like that, that's half the battle... now he just has to develop the rest of his game and so far this year has been going smoothly IMO.

Ovechkin used to take 15 + shots a game and his percentage sucks. No one rips him for not scoring on every shot.

Pretty basic hockey and it shouldn't have to be stated a 100 times....if you don't shoot you don't score nor do you create rebounds etc etc.

Ovechkin has how many 50 goal seasons? Ovechkin is how many times the player that Stalberg could ever DREAM of being?

How many rebounds does a shot into the crest on the goalie's sweater produce? Ovechkin wouldn't miss those gimme tap in goals that Stalberg loves to miss too.

JUST SAYIN

I am still glad the line is doing well and hope it stays like that for the rest of the season.

Notice how his goal scoring ouput has suffered since he stopped taking the 15+ shots a night? He was a 50 goal scorer when he shot the puck more and was the league leader in puck hogging. Now he will be a 30-40 goal guy as he was last year. Notice that Stalberg is only 2 goals shy of Ovechkin right now? Sort of funny. I think Ovechkin is on pace for what 35 goals? I could score 30 goals a season if I took 15 shots a night and I can't fucking skate.

Not saying Ovechkin isn't going to lead in goals over Stalberg..obviously he is going to. But to say guys like Ovechkin never shoot into a goalies chest is craaaaazy. Everyone does it. Ovechkin was just good at doing it 13 out of 15 times while Stalberg is good at doing it 4 out of 5 times.

I think Stalberg was one of the better players last night.

How could you tell? They all sucked. Moving on, pretending that game didn't happen.

Toews and Stalberg played very well, Hoss did most of the time.
