I think he can be a serviceable slot corner and depth piece, but not a starter on the outside. He gets more flack than he should, but in the end he is a 5th rounder.

He shouldn't be expected to start. If he can, nice, but not expected. Poles should be able to recruit over him.

Lets just hope he's not getting the "clean slate" treatment.
Unless that clean slate is the one he is wiping down in a Northwestern campus lecture hall..

Hopefully Thomas Graham steps up and Vildor never sees the field. Then cut.

For reference, Vildor's stats in his first two years:

So, I will guess 1 INT, 4 PD, 0.5 sacks, and 30 tackles.

My hope is that Graham and some yet to be acquired CB (either via FA or the draft) are able to work their way ahead of Vildor. But, I think he will still contribute in some fashion and it would be great for him to get his first INT.

We’d be better off sending out an Amazon Kindle and just placing it in the right area of the field in case it trips the receiver up. Like the inanimate carbon rod that saves the space mission in The Simpsons.

He is fucking useless.

As i said about Vildor last year, I have never seen a CB waste good position like Vildor does. He just seems incapable of making a play on the ball. He was really horrible last season.. teams threw at him at will.

There is a chance he improves, because athletically he does keep up with receivers. But he would need a ton of improvement to become a viable starter.

I predict the Bears grab a CB with one of their first 3 selections and Vildor becomes a backup.

9 GS
2 passes defended
.5 sacks
10 solo tackles
0 int

I think the guy has talents. Some players take some time to adjust to the NFL. He's a draft pick, so I'm sure they'll give him more chances to develop. I think he'll play well enough this year to be a solid sub.
