Thanks. Almora was the more polished hitter the night I watched KC live, but Vogelbach did see quite a few pitches.

As for what Law said either Vogelbach made some adjustments or Law doesn't know what a decent swing looks like. Vogelbach has good form.

False. If Dan can hit the ball at the ML level for the Cubs he should remain a Cub. I would not refrain from bringing him up because he's blocked or the DH bullshit. There's a chance that he could be a much better ML hitter than Rizzo. Even if he's is equal to Rizzo send Rizzo to the outfield. It's not about pride obviously becasue the Cubs have shown very little of that the last few years.

The guy is a better athlete than he's been given credit for by these supposed experts. He moves around just fine. I believe overblown due to the fact that some are just racists against people they consider overweight.

I should know. I am the board's expert in the field.

The BBW videos on the porn sites seem to get quite a bit of traffic. Maybe someone like Keith Law ought to start cleansing his soul by grabbing a roll of paper towels and pulling up a chair.

Volgelbach isn't going anywhere, anytime soon in my opinion. It seems his value is only going to increase, so unless he has to be a in a package to land a big fish. I see the Cubs hanging on to him and seeing where it goes.

If he continues like he has. I would like to see what he can do for the Cubs at the ML first. His power is unreal. The kid can blast them 500 plus feet.

There hasn't been too many ML hitters that can do that now without help from Biogenesis. So the real 40-55 homerun hitters may very well be the ones that are "overweight" and built like a tank naturally.

Almora needs to show more walks and work more counts. He is a polished hitter just needs some more patience.
He had great at bats the night I saw him. He nailed everything whether they were hits or outs. Patience is OK. The point is to get a good pitch to hit and he did that.

Let the kid come up through the ranks. If the Cubs need a pitcher, especially an ACE, they surely can afford it and then some. No use trading talent away just for the sake that there is no DH in the NL.

I also could care less how he defends. I have seen enough less than stellar defensive players play the outfield like Dunn, Holiday, Canseco, Soriano and a host of others. There bats kept them in the line-up, not the glove.

If the kid can hit, they will find a spot for him. Who knows, by that time he may be the real deal and Rizzo moves positions or gets traded. His contract is pretty friendly.

It's nice to get a buzz on a player, but there is no need to get too far ahead of ourselves with any minor leaguer. The chances that Soler, Baez, Chunk, Almora, Alcantara, and Bryant all make it to the dance on top of Rizzo, Shark, and Castro and perform to our expectations is a million to one.

You see, I was not suggesting we should trade him right now, but KB was spouting off about how people here think Rizzo can be a good player long-term and that that would block Vogelbach. Rizzo is pretty great defensively, but if Vogelbach forces the issue and is worth more to the Cubs on the field than in a trade, then yes, we will find room for him to play.

Rizzo hasn't shown me that he's the answer at first base either. He's still young and has plenty of room to improve. He is a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. I know that because I'm also Italian and all Italians are geniuses. What Rizzo needs more than anything is some legit power bats around him to really thrive. Castro did well when we had some power behind him and he saw some better pitches.

Nice to know this team platoons at the clean up spot. Fucking ridiculous for a large market.
