Isiah wanted to play for the Bulls too. He wanted them to draft him if I am not mistaken. I heard the story about him intentionally trying to botch the Pistons interview. They stopped the interview, told him they knew what he was doing...and told him they would draft him anyway...that is the story.
This is true.
Isiah grew up right down the street from the old stadium on the Westside.
I remember reading a long time ago about how he used to somehow sneak into the Stadium to watch home games......or somthing like that.
Yes, Mr. Thomas grew up a Bulls fan..Any kid in Chicago playing basketball dreams of playing for the Bulls and representing the city there from...and Isaiah was no exception.
I'm glad he wasn't drafted to the Bulls though...would of came back to haunt them and they might not of been able to suck bad enough to draft high enough in the lottery to draft Jordan....Isaiah came in the league in like '81 or 82.....By the time 84 hit, the Bulls might of been a playoff team and Jordan might of ended up a Piston. :shrug:
