No, he was nothing more than a role player, easily replaceable by any wing man in the league.

Well you are entitled to your opinion.

My opinion is that your stement is insane.

How could you replace Scottie with "any" wingplayer in the league.
Wow!!!!

Check out the pole results, but I guess that means nothing to some.
If the poll means nothing than why is it there?
Pippen is winning at this point by a landslide.

Pippen wins in favor of yes by 75% at this point.

It's sarcasm.

A franchise player is one guy who has had a team built around him. That is the way I understood it.

I don't even consider LeBron James to be a franchise player.

If Stephon Marbury can be a franchise player then certainly Pippen could have been. But according to my definition of the word, Pippen really wasn't. Not that makes him any less of a player, because it doesn't.

I'll bite on this, I'll say Miami built around him.

And the Bulls did the same thing buildning 2 3peat championships around 2 franchise players...That being Jordan and Pippen..

That team was built around Jordan but I'll grant you that Pippen was sort of franchise player-esque by 1995-1998 because he was the senior member of that team.

Yes he was.
Jordan was franchise player #1.
And Pippen was franchise player #2.

Throughout the championship runs, the orginization made sure they kept both together as 1..

It takes 2 to make a thing go right.

Krause tried to trade Pippen twice...in 1994 and in 1997. For Kemp and for McGrady. The organization didn't hold Pippen in the same esteem as they held Jordan...and rightfully so.

Let me ask this question to the Pippen acolytes:

If he was a franchise player, how come no shoe company built their entire national advertising campaigns around him?

Next time you should do some research before speaking.

Either that or just stick to the Sox.
