They should keep Ronnie Brewer if at all possible.

Watson is tough to give up knowing Rose is out.

Korver is injured and not very good anyway. Good riddance.

why keep brewer when we got butler?

yeah Korver cant do anything but shoot 3's but thats needed more than what brewer brings

I like Watson a lot, and I feel perfectly fine with making excuses for his play last year. He had a lot of injuries last year, and played through them. He changed his number to 7, out of a cheesy team-promo. He can score and defend, fits well with Thins system, and the only real harp on the guy, is that he isn't a true PG, despite being second in assists.

I don't want to see him go, especially when Rose's knee is in question for next season. I hope we keep him for another year. I would rather have Watson of today on this team, than have the current Hinrich, and I like a cheap Kirk too.

Am I the only one that witnessed Korver's improvements in his all-around game? He might be a 3pt specialist, but he's one of the most versatile 3pt specialists in the league.

But yeah. Brewer's quickness has left the building. Everything that he was good at has declined, including his baseline attack. I like the guy too, but he no longer is a good fit here.

I did. His defense has vastly improved under Thibs instruction for 2 years. Shit he had 3 blocks in a single game this year. Not to mention his rebounding has improved as well.

Of the 3, he should be retained. His outside shooting is absolutely essential for the team. Brewer is expendable. Butler has proven that in the stretches he played. Watson, injuries or no, is not very smart with the ball. There were countless times the past 2 seasons where he was too slow to react in hitting the open man. But that's what happens when you try & convert a spot-up shooting 2 into a distributor. He wasn't horrible but he wasn't good either. I'm fine with taking Kirk if that's what it is.

The only issue I see with Korver is that he doesn't necessarily help us against the Heat. That's still what it's all about at this point.

Granted, if we're talking about solely getting as many wins as possible for next year, then yeah Korver probably helps us more than Brewer, but against the Heat, I think Brewer's defense is more valuable than Korver's shooting. That's the only issue I really have with keeping Korver and letting Brewer go...I like both players a lot actually and would love to keep them, but that's just not a realistic situation at this point.

this is true, brewer's ability to guard wade is more valuable than what korver can bring to the table

thing is korver is a big part of the bull's 3 point game...

i feel that without korver teams might run some more zone and/or packline

which will be jizz for JLIII but other guys on the team? not so much

So uh yeah, we tank next year. Boatright declares for draft and we take him 6th overall.

Ryan Boatwright?? Any GM that takes him top 10 needs to be fired unless the draft is 10x weaker than 2000

UCLA is gonna be scary next year Tony Parker (watched him live at Disney world for the AAU tourney last year has some rare skills a bit under sized but hell of a player) is an old school low post big man and 2 of the best wing I like Kyle Anderson better for the college game very versatile like a James Harden. If UCLA doesnt win it all I blame immaturity and more importantly Josh Smith dude is a cancer.

Yeah I definitely see that as well. The unfortunate thing with choosing between Brewer/Korver is that you lose something important to the team. Korver is pretty much the Bulls' only threat from 3 unless Deng or JL3 heat up. I think Deng is probably better than most would like to give him credit for. Perhaps that wrist injury has something to do with it, but it's his nonshooting hand. All the same...Deng is inconsistent from 3 even when healthy. And we all know how JL3 plays. Watson was our only other true 3pt threat and he's gonna be gone most likely.

do you want to make a bet on this...i wouldn't

tony parker is pretty meh...he's big and can score in the post...but he's like a slightly more skilled version of josh smith

kyle anderson and shabazz are good though

but the pieces gotta fit together....we'll see how it goes

Josh Smith problem isnt skill he has plenty it's his work ethic and backround. Parker is a good kid that is the difference Josh Smith will be broke in 5 years.

I like Parker better coming out better than Sullinger(who I liked quite a bit) but I doubt his numbers reflect it due to the team he will be on. I just hope he ignores Josh Smith's lazy ass.

i'm sure the duke staff agrees

even if it was true, that isn't really relevant anyways

:lmao:

sullinger is much better than tony parker...sullinger was top 5 RSCI in a good class, tony parker can't sniff his jock

but I doubt his numbers reflect it due to the team he will be on. I just hope he ignores Josh Smith's lazy ass.
or maybe they dont reflect it because he isn't that good

tony parker is just a slightly more skilled, weaker and less lazy version of josh smith

Kid has potential. He averaged 10 points coming off the bench behind Lamb and Napier.
