Isn't he an UFA? What freedom! He holds all the cards because he is the BGITW!

Perhaps he should leave the Rangers and sign with a better team - even if it has to be at a discount - where he can show his true prowess. Supposedly, that's the reason he's the NHL's Dan Marino (the team in front of him).

Richards is confrimed out for today's game.

Lets see how Drew does, he was pretty much in a lot of pain also...I think the two seven game series against the Blues and Sharks have taken its toll on them, mostly the Blues, that was a slobber knocker.

I think so too. And he has led the playoffs with the most ice time. He has to be feeling it by now. He wasn't sharp in games 1 or 2. Nice to have a blueline that can share minutes like the Hawks does even though guys like Keith are at their best when logging bigger minutes. Its all going to pay off though in the end if it hasn't to already.

I love after it was 3-0 last game the announcers were already talking about how beat up the kings were for this series. They've conceded it's over and started the excuse parade.

Here's an interesting Cup history factoid I hadn't seen before leading up to Gm. 3 until I was reading an article on Grantland,

" Consider this: In the history of the NHL, no team has ever won the Stanley Cup while playing more than 18 games en route to the finals. That allows for a maximum of six losses. The Kings already have seven."

I dont think its a false excuse. I think they really are beat up badly..it's showing pretty clearly. Thats not to say the Hawks still wouldn't be up 2-0 if the Kings were a bit healthier. And the Hawk players themselves are probably nursing injuries (I can take a guess on which ones but I won't bother). I think its about the level of injuries the Kings are playing through..bet there are some real nasty ones. Few guys just don't look near themselves out there since the end of the Blues series.

IKR? And I especially loved Kings fans online starting to trot out out the "Cup hangover" defense of ALL things when the Kings had fucking 3+ more months of offseason to recuperate as opposed to regular Cup winners because of the lockout AND on top of that only had to defend with a shortened, 48-gm. season. GMAFB. No. Just. Stop.

Also another popular meme is the the travel woes of the poor Kings. Because life is so rough as a Pro athlete having to get on comfortable chartered flights and fly to/from the mid-way point in the country. Oh, THE HORROR!
