And still have a chance at the playoffs. Smh we have away the lions and Vikings games

I actually thought that we outplayed the Packers for most of that game as well. But that is a loss.

I think that out of the Vikings and Lions, we should definitely have won at least one of them. So 4-4 I think we should be. However, we did win the Kansas City game, and I am sure if you talk to any KC fan, they had that game won and blew it. So, therefore, whatever.

The Bears could be 5-3 just as easily as they could be 0-8.
My sentiments exactly.

All their wins have been late 4th quarter comebacks.

Three of their losses were basically decided well before the game was over. Two games they gave up late leads in reverse fortunes of the ways they've won this year.

This team has beaten the 4-4 Raiders and a 3-5 Chiefs team... They've lost to every playoff caliber team this season and only against Minnesota was it close.

The Bears aren't playoff material.

In todays NFL the difference between winning and losing for most teams is a play here or there. Take out the top 3 teams and most teams can say they lost but could have won. When the bears get better they will be on the other side of the coin. Example Panthers are not blowing away teams every week, but they make more plays cause they took that next step. On the other hand the Lions only have one win but can easily have won more games if the ball bounced a little diff.

I agree that they are not playoff material, but lets not forget that the Bears lost a close one to Packers and neck to neck with the Cardinals, until Cutler went down. So they are a work in progress, but in the right direction as appose to last year.

The Packers went up 31-17... The Bears scored a garbage TD.. if they got an onside kick and then they had a chance to tie, okay, but it didnt go that way. The game was basically decided at 31-17.

Cutler got hurt after throwing a pick 6 that sent the game 28-14 Arizona...Clausen played like garbage, the Cardinals muffed a punt, then Jared Allen got an INT that gave the Bears two FG's because of field position to 28-20. Its IMPOSSIBLE to say what the Bears do down two scores with Cutler the rest of the game if he plays, but the defense played awful in that game, so I can almost imagine, the Cardinals are still in a position to put up 40+ points, and the Bears, I'm not so sure they can keep up.

Cardinals game you are right, the Packers game you are not. Packers game was 17-16 after 3 quarters. That Packer TD that you speak of to make it 31-16 was with 1:55 to go in the game. That's when the game was decided, like you say. Then the Bears scored a TD again. That game was a one score game for every minute of the entire game except for one minute. And the Bears were up at the half. That was a close game throughout. Gase/Fox abandoned the run in the 4th quarter, and it was a mistake.

It's weird. In most of the games, it appears that they are getting dominated in most areas, but the scoreboard is always close.

  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
Bears are not a horrible team, but below average. They are well coached and keep the game close, but don't have the talent to finish the game against teams better than them. The Bears are 6-10 to 7-9 team. I think the Bears are actually improving. The beginning of this season I thought the Bears were a 3-4 win team.

Defense has actually been the key. Ignorant fans here all talking about Gase and how they're scared he's leaving. Fangio is the key part. Done much with little talent. Watch out when he gets a few more real good players on that defense.

The biggest improvement on offense can be attributed to the return of Alshon Jeffery. Even at less than 100%, he's a QB's dream come true. But look at all 3 Bear's wins. Oakland held to 20 points, including a 25 yard Raider TD drive that started at the Bears own 25 after a turnover. Gave up just 2 FGs in the 2nd half. Versus KC, the defense gave up only 10 points and shut them out completely in the second half. Versus the Charger last night, the defense gave up the early TD and that was pretty much all they gave up as all the Chargers could garner in the 2nd half was 1 fg.

Do you thing there might be something to this? I mean, hold your opponent to 6 points or less in the 2nd half and you're very likely to win some games, AMIRITE?

did anyone consider that maybe Gase is perfectly happy being an OC?

how many times have you seen great coordinators lay total goose eggs as head coaches?

No. HC job earns significantly more money. Just can't say no.

Many but they'd be fools to not have taken the huge promotion. Gase will be the next too fail. He's terribly overrated.

yep, as bad as the D has been at times, the bears O hasnt been particularly impressive in any game, including the wins. theyve won by scoring an average of like 20 points against mediocre and sub-par teams. yet, everyones going on about how much the O has improved and how great a job gase has done with cutler. The O pretty much looks the same as it did doing lovies tenue, running the ball and asking jay to do as little as possible. and just like then they can manage to squeak out just enough O to beat scrubs.

McCoy was really sought after, now he kinda sucks as HC.

Not sure he sucks. Who do they have besides Rivers? They got nothing. They have the worst defense in the NFL, no running game, 2 top receivers out, no o-line. They barely even have any fans. The LA Chargers are a hot mess.
