A significant severe weather event may unfold early tomorrow afternoon. Damaging winds and tornadoes are possible, with a lesser threat of large hail. Heavy rain is likely from stronger thunderstorms, but flooding is not likely because of the fast forward speed of the storms. In addition to the potential for severe weather on Sunday, the powerful storm system impacting our area will cause strong southerly winds gusting to 45 to 50 mph shifting to westerly behind a cold front in the afternoon. Tell your friends and family members to be alert and stay safe! Be sure to have a way to receive warnings tomorrow.
