Martin's arm length is insane for someone not 6'5 plus & 325 plus. Holy hell.
I'm also shocked Clowney only tipped the scale at 266. He looked much bigger (to me) on film. For comparison sake, Ealy being shorter and almost 10 pounds heavier blows my mind when looking at their frames in pads.

I think clowney dropped probably to run a little faster and to maybe entice the 3/4 team a little more as an OLB, just my thought. But his frame can most likely hold 280+ He said he played around 270-275 during the season and his frame didn't look maxed out either.

With Ealy he was listed as 6'5 275 so 6'4 275 that shouldn't hurt his stock at all 6'4 is tall enough for both 4-3 DE and OLB

Trent Murphy I think has settled into the idea of being an OLB he's down to 250 pounds from 252. Now I want to see how works out against Anthony Barr because Murphy is far more polished of a prospect than Barr.

I was just thinking the same thing about Clowney on all accounts.
Ealy being an in shorter than listed isn't a big deal like you mentioned. Plus his arms are 34+.

Side note on Early, and since the two get compared all the time, a good buddy of my is a die hard Mizzou fan and alum, ( former football player) anyways, he keeps preaching that Ealy is much stronger and faster than Aldon was coming out. Aldon being a touch more explosive or quick twitch if you will.
Smith is a monster now in the strength department As a grown man.. He thinks Ealy is a more NFL ready and a better overall prospect.
Aldon was very raw coming out and relied on his athletic ability in college.
Just thought I'd pass that along for shits n gigs.

My favorite teams
  1. New York Mets
  1. Houston Rockets
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Oklahoma Sooners
Mike Evans is the best WR of the bunch. Could be an All Pro. Off the field issues though.

He certainly had himself a very nice 40 and split for a man of his size. I woulda thought he was more of a 4.55 guy.

His official time will likely be in the 4.55 range.

I think he's done very well for himself today, though.

I think Sammy Watkins is a step above Evans, and could be the best prospect in the whole draft (along with Clowney, Mack, Robinson and Matthews as the other options).

His first step is devastating and he's very polished. I don't think Evans can run the whole tree, although with his ability to get up for the ball he probably doesn't have to.

Haven't been following the combine this year so wasn't sure if these times being posted are official or not.
I know NFLN is horrible with their unofficial times.

2014 NFL Combine: Weigh-In Recap - Defensive Backs

One of the most surprising weighs-in came from Louisville safety Calvin Pryor, a contender to be the first safety selected and a potential top-20 pick. The 5-foot-11, 207-pounder was three inches shorter than his listed height of 6-2. His weight was accurate. Pryor's arm length (31 3/8) was also on the short side. Pryor's weigh-in was disappointing.

Alabama safety HaHa Clinton-Dix (6-1, 208) hit his exact measurements from the Crimson Tide. His arm length was solid (32 3/8) as well. Clinton-Dix is a good athlete and should do well at the Combine.

Oklahoma State cornerback Justin Gilbert checked in at 6-foot, 200 pounds. He is the top-rated corner, and it was good that he checked in as tall as he was billed. Gilbert also had the second longest arms of any defensive back at 33 1/8 inches. That is some serious length. He was five pounds heavier, but that shouldn't hurt him in the 40.

Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard (5-11, 191) had a solid weigh-in in terms of height and weight. He was as tall as advertised and a few pounds heavier. Dennard did have short arms at 30 1/4 inches, and the less-than-ideal length is one trait that Gilbert has over Dennard in the battle to be the first cornerback selected.

Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley (6-2, 234) was his exact measurements from college. It was good that Mosley didn't check in any smaller than expectations.

Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller (6-0, 190) displayed some good size and largely met his listed numbers. He was the exact height and three pounds lighter. Fuller was banged up late in the season, but was playing like a first-rounder as a senior before getting injured. There are some questions about his speed, so a good 40 time would be huge for him.

Florida cornerbacks Loucheiz Purifoy and Marcus Roberson came in at opposite ends of the spectrum. Even though Purifoy (6-1, 189) was listed bigger than Roberson (6-0, 184), sources told WalterFootball.com that the opposite was true. That turned out to be a reality as their actual measurements had Purifoy at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds while Roberson was 6-foot, 191 pounds. Roberson did have shorter arms (31) than Purifoy (32 3/4). Both players need a big Combine for their respective draft stocks.

Ohio State cornerback Bradley Roby (5-11, 194) was his exact height and a few pounds heavier than his listed weight. Roby has shorter arms (31 1/2) than most. He had a rough junior season and some off-the-field concerns. Roby needs to perform well and interview well at the Combine.

Some feel that TCU cornerback Jason Verrett is a first-rounder, but sources have told WalterFootball.com they couldn't take Verrett before the third round because he's very undersized. That was verified on Sunday as Verrett checked in at 5-foot-9, 189-pounds. His arms were short as well. That was an inch shorter than his listed weight, but 13 pounds heavier. There will be a lot of split opinions on Verrett.

Clemson cornerback Bashaud Breeland (5-11, 197) had some differences in his numbers. Breeland was an inch shorter and 12 pounds heavier than his listed numbers. He is a sleeper corner who could rise.

There were a number of cornerbacks who checked in at least one inch shorter than they were billed: Victor Hampton (5-9,197), E.J. Gaines (5-10,190), Andre Hal (5-10, 188) and Terrance Mitchell (5-11, 192). The reality of these defensive backs being smaller is disappointing.

Holy Shit Pryor, 5'11 is a long way from 6'2, he won't be #14 but is still an excellent FS.

Can't wait to see what Anthony Barr runs, that 15 reps will make him slide some more so he might make it to #14. I'm impressed with Ryan Shazier putting up 25 but Mosley with a DNP...:smh:
