Not disagreeing with you, but the Rangers seem to be in disarray and players are saying its because they made it to the World Series the whole organization got big heads.

It's a fair point. I think they got a bit comfortable with their offense and didn't put enough starting pitching depth around Darvish. Injuries took their toll last year and guys like Ian Kinsler (whose now gone) have really under performed the last two years. Adding Prince Fielder will give them some stability in the lineup.... but starting pitching is still an issue.

And?

Not sure what this had to do with the original point at all.

I would love to be in the 'disarray' the Rangers are in right now.

I would gladly trade this entire organization for the Rangers in a second. Anyway who wouldn't is being just dumb. Their major league team is light years ahead of the Cubs and their farm system is also extremely good.

My point is I wanted to bring up this topic. Another point, I wouldnt completely trade our franchise if players are saying that the management is incompetent. Ian Kinsler had some pretty choice words for the Rangers organization. Josh Hamilton seemed to feel the same way. I thought the Rangers would have won it by now, but it seems that door is closing. I want to see if Nolan Ryan was the genius and Kinsler was right.

Well, we acquired several of those "extremely good" members of their farm system in the Matt Garza trade -- Olt, Edwards and Ramirez :smug:

Is Nolan Ryan no longer with the Rangers at all? I thought I had read where he was now assisting in Houston along side Jeff Lunhow, formerly of the Cardinals.

Not sure.

Yes, yes he is with the Astros. You didnt read what Ian Kinsler said about Texas. He said they basically pushed Ryan out because of ego.

This is just part of it, but its what I am talking about.

"Daniels is a sleazeball,” he says. “He got in good with the owners and straight pushed Ryan out. He thought all the things he should get credit for, Ryan got credit for. It’s just ego. Once we went to the World Series, everybody’s ego got huge, except for Nolan’s.”

Daniels is the GM and Kinsler also called him a "sleazeball". It may just be a disgruntled ex player for them, but Josh Hamilton tweeted out a couple of hours later something along the lines of "Its not fun being in the Rangers doghouse. Right Ian Kinsler" Something to that effect.

I've seen players call management sleaze balls, I haven't seen any players calling them incompetent.

Talent wise, the Rangers are light years ahead of the Cubs.

Theo is acting like a mother hen with his chicks.

Take Baez: If he is a dead red fastball hitter and doesn't read breaking pitches as well then sure let him take his lumps in Iowa while he adapts. If he starts seeing a diet of cutters and has to start hitting to RF sure. I get that part of it.

Now if he is just flat out balling and they are just making up excuses to get out of a super 2 situation then....
