That's just it Bri, no one is. The "church" has about 45 members, and a good chunk of the are related to the "pastor".

With all these groups, whether these dopes or white supremacy groups, et. al., they aren't going to convince someone who isn't already thinking that way. For instance, they aren't gonna convince me that "God hates ****" and thats the reason soldiers are dying. The KKK isn't gonna convince me that black people are gonna be the demise of the nation. The Nation of Islam can't tell me that he white devil wants to destroy them and not have me laugh in their face.

The only people that they are gonna get are stupid fucks that already believe that shit.

Unfortunately I don't believe that's entirely true. The stupid fucks part yes, but the propoganda is set to entice people who don't necessarily believe what they are saying, in order to make them believe it. A lot of times it's just finding the right people who want to be apart of something, and giving them that. Whether they think it originally or not. People are sheep. They'll believe what you tell them. For anything.

People can be followers. The only thing I don't understand is why it is so hard for them to use common sense.

Jim Jones telling people to drink the kool aid...and they did!

Marshall Applewhite tells people to eat the applesauce to get on the UFO behind Hale Bopp...heaven's gate my ass!

David Koresh - he was the final prophet...the end all be all. Let me have your wife and kids!

Seriously, these guys were nuts...but people believed and followed them...right to their graves.

I would too...if it weren't for the innocent children who were forced to follow in their dumb parents foot steps.

Some do...but the beauty of it is many kids are smarter than adults give them credit for and just go through the motions because they know their parents are full of shit and are just biding their time for a full-on rebellion where they can make their own mistakes rather than having to live their parents' mistakes.

Excellent post.

This so called church is nothing but a scam. It is not a congregation, it is a hate group.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and the right to express them. But once you cross the line of decency and infringe upon the rights of others. I say **** you.

There is nothing lower than the way they're picketing the funerals of fallen soldiers saying our soldiers deserved to die because they fought for a nation that didn't persecute *** people.

These fucktards obviously forgot one small thing. Hate goes both ways. Whatever hate you put out there, you get back tenfold.

I would have nooooo problem contributing to paying them back.

I defend their right to free speech daily. I personaly dont care what drivel they spew insides the confines of their congregation. However, in my eyes, by "protesting" a funeral and screaming these things at people attending the funerals, they have crossed the realm of free speech into harrasment.

That was my point. They are entitled to their beliefs. But when these idiots cross the line of common decency, then **** them.

I forgot to add that until the Supreme Court decides whether or not what they do is actually covered by "free speech" they can pretty much do it. I hope the Court shows a little bit of common sense here...that this is harrasment, not free speech.

They also have the right to express their beliefs (decency be damned--50 years ago the Bikini was considered indecent); the caveat though is that they can't trample on anyone else's rights to do so...

However, I think you may have hit on a solution with the Harassment angle. They are being very select about who they picket, and they are oing so in a manner that could be considered harrassing and inciteful.
