Yeah he just signed a new deal.
If they do blow up the roster, get some picks and have a young team is he happy with it? We know he doesn't like to play rookies but if he's got a bunch of them that are the future they've got to play and learn faster.
So if another team approaches the Bulls, one with a fairly good roster that needs a more disciplined defensive coach, and wants to talk to Thibs do they say 'sure but we want a first round pick and money as compensation for letting him out of his contract'? Why pay a strong coach who doesn't like rookies to coach a team that will take a few years to develop, whether Rose returns strong or not, so at the end of his current contract the team is at another crossroads.
Because if they do dismantle this roster they won't be drafting a bunch of 4 year players like Jimmy Butler, more than likely they'll be getting several freshmen who might not take to the tough coaching thinking they're pros now and know it all.
