Yeah. I was bit and stung by a few things that required medical attention, but nothing is quite like that damn spider. Small, blends in well, you can't feel it coming, and they just bite for no reason. Most poisonous creatures will leave you alone. Cow ants are the same way, but 1:100th less painful, and centipedes are almost as painful, but 1:100th less toxic.

yeah I used to live by someone who almost had his arm amputated after getting bit by one while he was asleep. The doctors initially told him that there were no venomous spiders in Chicago and to just come back if the swelling didn't go down after a few days. He said that if he waited as long as they told him to wait, he would have lost his arm. He just wound up with a pretty big nasty scar though.

Ever since then... I've been paranoid about these spiders.

I agree, but the bumper sticker thing is over the top IMO. You can brag about your kid to your friends and workers, etc. but nobody driving behind you would really care. :lol:
