I texted this into Laurence Holmes' show for Hater Wednesday.

I'm hatin' on high school age kids trick or treating. I had some come to the door at my dad's house. I gave them some candy, but I thought 'you're 16 damn years old. Buy your own fuckin' candy.' You should age out of trick or treating when you enter high school.

I don't think it's a huge deal. I was out trick-or-treating when I was 16. My oldest daughter is 16 now and she went last night.

Plus, it's hard to judge how old the kids are when they are in costumes. I have a friend that's about 7' tall. So he always looked a few years older than he was simply because of his height.

Better for them to be trick or treating than egging stuff.

I absolutely fucking hate the fact, that there is no standard for setting online credentials to all different sites and services. I do it all online, from wiring money to paying bills, to applying for car loans, and every fucking website and every fucking service has different requirements for passwords and user names. Needs to be 8 characters, with at least one capitol letter and at least one number, but cannot be the same as any part of your user name and has to have a required strength. What the ****? I am forced to remember 1123 passwords and each is different somehow. Writing these down would be idiotic from security standpoint but remembering them all and all their stupid fucking requirements is close to impossible if you have alot of accounts. STANDARDIZE THIS SHIT YOU FUCKING MORONS!
thats all ive got.

If I had the skill-sets I would, sounds like a $$ maker for some computer geek.

Yea, that's never going to happen. Ever.

You might as well ask that everyone has the same type of locks and same number of locks on the front door to their house.

There are many different ways to create a website and tons of different ways to set up username/passwords. Nobody will ever agree on one best way.

On a similar train of though, I hate the fact that the credit card scanners are all different. When I go to pay for something I have to play 20 questions after I swipe my card. Would you like to donate $1 to some charity? Debit or Credit? Enter your PIN. Cash back? Is the amount correct?

Of course the buttons are never in the same place on any 2 either. Some have touchscreens and some have actual buttons.

Well, things in this field have been standardized before, and it doesnt really compromise security either. Ideally, the https sites, that deal with financials and personal info, should have the highest requirement for most complex passwords, while news or travel sites that you log into for reading, should have minimal requirements as far as comlpexity goes. But in the real world, it doesnt exactly seem to work this way, since web site operators and owners can not properly judge the level of security needed for their website. It needs to happen, maybe i can send a few emails out and see if there is a way to make this happen. As for ATMs, its the same deal. What I want to see in the future is your personal smartphone as your digital wallet. If you are inside a store shopping, their network finds you, sends you a bill and you pay it by accepting on your phone. No more lines, credit cards etc etc. I think apple store does som ething like that, but id loive to see retailers to follow suit.

What's wrong w/Florida?...other than it's a horrible place to live/work/drive and just about everything else other than vacation.

WRONG. Ok...I guess you can have an opinion since you actually lived here :) I love it personally. Especially this time of the year.

I hate whenever I'm at the grocery store and I get stuck behind the woman who spends 10 minutes looking through all the gallons of milk to find the one with the oldest expiration date. It always makes me think of Clerks.

Cutler nut-hugging fans, probably the same ones that slobbered all over Rexy a few years back.
