Steinbeck and Hemingway were not elitist or bourgeois. The wrote in plain language of the people's plight! Steinbeck one of my all time favorites. I even made a pilgrimage to Monterrey and went to the real "*****'s" store and saw the spot where Doc died when he passed out drunk in his car on the train tracks and got hit by a train.

Doc was a real guy, btw and a pretty famous marine biologist. His real name was Ed Ricketts, and he wrote Between Pacific Tides - the book Steinbeck refers to in Canery Row. Its a seminal work on the pacific intertidal. He was my hero all growing up.

See, art school made me think that.

Related: I hate art school.

I have 2009 4runner limited! Great off road ride!!

Love 4Runners, as well! Had a '98 SR5 5-speed -- had a lot of fun in it. I'm a big Toyota/Lexus/Scion guy (despite the fact that I work at a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM store..... go figure).

I've gone mudding lots too! Often times my drive to and from work is nothing but a mud bog! Good times my friend, good times!! I love towing the big trucks, lol

As do I! Don't get to rip quite as many people out since my '11 Tacoma is a 4 cylinder. But hell, can't complain about the gas mileage! Just put in a new AFE ProDry air filter and deleted the secondary charcoal filter. Noticed an even bigger jump in mileage. On my last fillup I averaged a little over 25MPG. I plan on keeping this truck way closer to stock than my previous Tacoma or 4Runner. More than likely just going to do a OME 3" lift with Toytec UCAs, BFG All-Terrain KOs and the 16" TRD beadlocked wheels. Might do an exhaust, as well as an upgraded clutch.

Nice! Mine is stock minus a mean bush grill with a winch. The V8 is brutal on gas though, but plenty of "jam"!
